My World is of a Darker Shade - E Von Lam

    Search for all things

    i seek for nothing

    i feel nothing

    all that there was

    was gone

    all that there are

    will replace

    yet emptiness returns

    i seek once again

    with more knowledge

    i feel around

    all that had been

    had left

    all that will be

    becomes void

    i dare seek no more

    Strange

we live in a strange world

    that is,

    we leave our trails

    the path we trod

    we turned our backs

    the steps we took

    the footprints showed clear

    the directions we headed

    yet,

    our hearts ached

    the time passed

    our minds slurred

    the decisions made

    we all live strange ways

    that is,

    we lose ourselves

    the past we created

    we gather ourselves

    the future we feared

    we remind ourselves

    the present we live

    yet never,

    did we ever stop

    neither did we forget

    never did we actually

    live

    except strangely

    that is.

    Loneliness

    there it was

    lurking in morbid splendor

    unrecognised

    it was always there

    like the oceans

    where the rain fell

    like the sands

    when the wind blew

    it had been there

like the twinkling in dark skies
