    Ben Hubbard’s MBS: The Rise to Power is a non-fiction account of the story of the crown prince, Mohammed bin Salman. In Hubbard’s author note, he said that the book is based on numerous interviews in six countries over six years. He also shared that he went on multiple trips to Saudi Arabia between 2013 and 2018 to conduct interviews and gather information for this book. Hubbard noted that Mohammed bin Salman has declined to be interviewed as he makes this book.

    Mohammed bin Salman is the reason behind the restructure and changes in the kingdom. The country is targeting that it would be a global shipping and transport hub. They were also considering to open and develop the tourism industry. As a matter of fact, in June 2018, they already let the women in the country to drive. The man behind these changes in the country is none other than the Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. When King Salman, his father, ascended the throne, he gave Mohammed bin Salman an oversight of the country’s most important sectors which are; defense, economy, religion, and oil.
