    Introduction

Tired of having to swap out your decor for every holiday? Simplify with this versatile pillow cover! The cover wraps around the edges of a pillow and is held in place by elastic bands, making a quick project that’s easy to remove and clean. Even better, once you’ve created this button-studded cover, you can customize it for any season or holiday with removeable appliques, such as the ones described in the rest of this book.

I designed these appliques specifically for this pillow cover, but they’d make great additions to lots of other projects. You can use these finished products on their own as appliques, or you can add the optional buttonholes and attach them to another item that already has buttons, such as a hat.

Note: Throughout the book, the colors in the photos may vary. My camera likes to be difficult in that way, especially when capturing green objects.
