FEELIN’ GOOD
If you feel you’re ready to start crocheting your own clothes, this Hometown Cardigan by Wool and the Gang is a great place to start. Mostly consisting of just two types of stitches, this easy-to-work cardi is made from the company’s own Feeling Good yarn, a light and soft Alpaca and Merino mix. The kit costs between L135 and L158, depending on size. Find it at www.woolandthegang.com
LET’S GROW
This is artist Flow Maugran’s ‘Ancestree,’ a 10m-high crochet sculpture that currently resides in the Millenium Centre in Cardiff. Inspired by West African baobab trees, Ancestree has served as an ethereal centrepiece for several exhibitions and workshops in the centre over the past year. The sisal rope tree represents the ‘crochet-tight’ community and multi-cultural history of Cardiff Bay.
