    Introduction

This is a story with characters of various characteristics. It is a semi -inspirational, semi-romantic and semi-theological story. Its chapters are demarcated in sub-headings which guides the main contents or part of the plot. It also shows how events are interwoven which will stimulate the eagerness of the reader to know what will happen next as reading means they wanting to know by the reader. It is like a rosebud which slowly unfolds, as the reader sinks deeper. The reader can understand and interpret the contents differently. Sometimes it might be emotional, nervous and stimulate anger, happiness or even eagerness. To some people, literatures of any genres are a golden key to radiant health and lasting happiness. It divulges the secrets which the inner person might have and assist in finding some possible ways of addressing life issues. On the story, the events can stimulate anger ending in danger or error which can lead to terror and those which happily started cause sadness or tribulations. That what seemed menial can become great and fruitful to many and come up with great returns. The reader can guess about possible solutions even before the end of the novel and anticipate a romantic ending, just to find that the story ends in calamity. It is at times a fairy tale in a novel that creates chemistry between enemies or separation between close friends. The problem can become a solution directly or indirectly. Sometimes characters seem realistic while they are idealistic, and at times they symbolize individuals of the real world. The story can at times emulate some societal events, social characters which may seems offensive to others, but it is not the main aim of the author. While the reality is that the author only applied his creativity and innovatory skills to depict behavior amongst the people living together. There is also a possibility in a novel where the world of fantasy can be created, some events sound illusive or just imagined but can represent reality. It is at time through novel where chasms of conflicts can be closed.

In story-telling, people are able to lodge complaints, guide lost minds, mend the broken hearts, express their feelings or convey a particular message and many more things. It is also another form of freedom of speech. It is sometimes referred to as a communication strategy especially to the mutes or deaf. Finally, this novel is not singly produced activity, but a product of many ideas and thoughts. The aim is to empower and strengthen the curious minds of those who love to read and are eager to know. It is also an educative strategy through which people can make a living and learn how to live. It can at the same time fill the empty minds with new ideas. It is one of the three folds of education. A person who loves reading rarely keeps the records of the wrongs and do not keep grudges. Through reading the world turns smaller because a reader is able to know many things around the globe.

    Chapter One

Con Man in the Lover‘s Garden

    Koppie Alleen

A rural village surrounded by hillocks which are decorated by the acacia and ghwaribos trees, mostly characterizes drought as they are xerophytes-type of trees. The shrubs are looking dry and very lonely due to a winter season. There are along the rivulet, grannies attempted to tilt the soil with self-made hand hoes with hope of getting something to put before their families. The soil is recommended for groundnuts, peanuts and sorghum. Watermelon and other beans are flourishing there. It is the field part of that village. People of that community were actually come together to the place called Mmakataneng where they were used to plough wheat and millets. Sometimes back then, white farmers came with a so-called project in attempt to assist in the production of various crops. Millets and wheat were regarded as main source for healthy cultural meals called matompolo and matsebelekwane (traditional bread). That is where they enjoyed eating various types of healthy organic vegetables like watermelons and fresh pumpkins. Active men and women could prepare vegetable gardens planting beetroot, tomatoes, onions spinach and many more. Boys and girls go from door –to-door to sell some vegetables produced from the fields. Later they were forced to move from that place due to the construction of the dam. Mothers and girls are mostly forced to wake up to draw water from a single well, protected by woods against stray animals while others will be cattle drivers. The usage of electricity was rare due to that most people preferred meals prepared from the ground fire because it was believed that those were the healthiest compared to the one prepared on an electrical stoves.

From a distance, a person could see sporadically some shining corrugated iron roofed houses. Most villages were mostly grass-thatched and surrounded by the walls commonly known as meboto ; fort like structures, decorated with cow-dung mixed with grey-dwarf-aloe ashes to make them attractive. Artistic and skillful women could play finger games on the wall and made some artwork. Though the topsoil at some parts of their field was eroded, they had hope and never stopped trying their luck. They believed the mercy from the Master would one day come and the children will sing "mme o tlile" which is commonly sung when parents brought nice food from the fields.

The ornaments and decorations were the most things that the villagers were much proud and much capable of. It was a peaceful place having both crops and stocks as potion of their subsistence farming. There were goats, sheep, cattle and even donkeys which were used to plough, pull the cart and other domestic works.

Most young men and women left the place due to various reasons. Maybe some left the place to relieve monotony or to look for green pastures while others left in attempt of looking for jobs to can put the bread on the table. Some young boys and young men went out because of peer pressure, they wanted to come and impress or win favors of young girls with what they bought from the where, which were mostly their attires. Some are doing all those out of sympathy and empathy to their parents who struggled to make ends meet, while other men left due to some relational challenges through which ecology of life is balanced. Some went to the cities in search of work but hypnotized by the nice attractive environment of the city, and at time, ended up in cohabitations leaving the families forever. There are lucky ones who obeyed the instructions from their relational hormones and constructively interpreted them and safely came back home. Through those hormones, they found themselves in the comfort zones and criticize those men who looked apathetic after being once beaten. Why hormones and relationships? It is right for people to be so eager about hormones and relationship. It is not only men who are attracted by the lights and noise of the cities, and those ladies with hungry-looks ointments with decorated eyelids. Women also felt the prey of the environment due to many reasons known by them. At times poverty turned to be a scapegoat behind which some hid and say we do it because we are poor while even those who are not also do it. Fallacious lovers who temporarily promised them heaven and earth which never lasted long because of relational hormones. They took some oath and get tempted by the paved ways to hell but it cannot last long. They are automatically chained by the same hormones and their consciences tell them home is the best.

Mr Ruriruri and his wife were fortunate; their love was still natural with no spark of misfortune. The nostalgia he has, was still the same like when he was still working in City Deep in the Reefs, years ago. If he spends a day far away from home he felt very lonely and missed her a lot. At times, Ntate Ruriruri remembered those years when the two met and calling those nice words like sweetheart and sparkling fizzy nice things. He could affectionately remember them. Even today, they rarely called each other by real names. The four relational hormones strengthened that relationship and the bond remained stable.

What are those relational hormones and why are they regarded so salient? They are quintessential ingredients on both romantic and social connections. They provide irrefutable characters between the couple if the obey their instructions, and ignoring them could drive the relationships in trouble. They are actually sophisticated tools to successfully maintain an everlasting love between lovers and charity between members of the society. Those four relational hormones are called by wise people as indispensable ammunitions in many social arsenals. Ntate Rurururi and his wife could without knowing them follow the instructions of those hormones. They did not know they are so close to each other because of those hormones but it only happened automatically. They had a wish that their three children should inherit them, so that they too could have a good relationship with both their partners and the society. They knew that the reality of an action today is an inheritance of their children tomorrow. Children should learn the best from them. The two always remembered the sermon from Reverend Diale’a Mokwena during their marriage. He told them that marriage is a journey of life where each couple should ensure each of the two is accompanied.

The relationship between all members of that family was strengthened by the obedience of all members to those hormones’ instructions. The children also learned a lot from the parental lessons which was not directly delivered to them but by just looking on the best life the parents were leading. Those relational hormones are declared romantic by many anthropologists and philanthropists who understand the true pillars of an everlasting love.

The Ruriruri family valued peace, love and stability more than many earthly things. They accepted the fruits of the spirits to be the creator of peace under all conditions of life. The hormones were forming part of the inventory in the recipe of preparing the best people in the Ruriruri family, which should also contribute effectively to the society.

Ntate Ruriruri and Mme Ruriruri were not just managers in their family; they were leaders who anticipated the best, not only for their children but to the nation at large. Starting what is said that charity begins at home. That will mostly benefit people who understand that success is not a destination but a process. All members of the community could learn and earn from few who efficiently aimed to change the world. It was at times said by great thinkers that a small group of committed people could change the world. They were not living from hand to mouth; yet they were not having money. Something exceptional about the family was that they were generous from the little they had. They understood the spiritual, mental and social benefits of giving. They were socially rich and not financially to bankroll. To that family, it was really felt that assisting people to succeed is a noble occupation than any other occupation a person can think of. It was a family of virtue and integrity. Why these relational hormones turned to be the talk of the town? They sound so phenomenal. Wow, they are because they involve commitment to love and affection, especially to those who once said yes I do before the commitment’s pulpit. They compel a people to stick to the pledges and oaths they made and practice the reality of what they have been preaching. They are in the lover or suitor’s immune system. Even if one partner can ignore and evade his or her responsibility, they will still remind them the value of the chemistry they have. There is nothing wrong to be eager to know more about those hormones. That is a human nature instilled naturally by Mother Nature for people to be curious. That is a sign of being normal. They are amongst other things of life, most laudable components which make life worth living. People could have a sense of appreciation, respect and sympathy through the relational hormones. Those are silent messages that are why many people rarely respond to their calls. They are not noisy but carry invaluable messages.

People, who cannot master the most difficult listening skill, cannot be able to understand its messages because of interference or the unwillingness to accept and correctly interpret them. Reasons, among others, may be failure to delay gratifications where people want to get things instantly not taking quality into consideration. Is it true that the slower you walk, the safer you arrive at the desired destination?

The Ruriruris was a disciplined family who wanted things correctly and well
