Tizzy and Wizzy are baby, Oystercatchers. They are twins, too. Oystercatchers are funny little fellows, and Tizzy and Wizzy are no exceptions. Oystercatchers are unmistakably comical wading birds that can be found on many coastlines but more particularly, on the Scottish coast. They have distinctive black and white plumage and long, bright orange bills.
They have recently been born and are almost two weeks old. Wizzy is tall, and Tizzy is small. They are Big brother and little sister, and they live with their parents, Alley and Cliff, and all the other birds and wildlife on Sunside beach in the far Highlands of Scotland.
Their nest is inside an old cardboard box that’s sheltered from the freezing winter weather at the bottom of an old, dry stone wall. Today is
