Anyone who steals must certainly make restitution, but if they have nothing, they must be sold to pay for their theft.

For the umpteenth time, Good Thief got arrested. He felt like it was the first time when he was completely shaking of fear.  After his first jump, and after the non-stop arrests, he became well known by the police officers who arrested him. The police officer who was driving the police car considered himself his friend, before discovering what he did. Good Thief, handcuffed sitting on the back seat, talked trying being funny:

Hey, Rondinei, dude, you got the wrong way. The guest house is on the left street.

The guest house was the district theft and robbery police station. However, Rondinei was not much in the mood for jokes.

Shut up, you bastard!

He answered, pistol-whipping him on the head with the hand that was off the wheel. Even so, he hit him with so much strength that he almost lost the control, skidding on the track. He was really angry on that day, and not without reason. The reason was the bad business he did. Although every year he has more work to do, his salary did not increase in the same proportion: and in order for him to pay for some expenses at home, Rondinei worked, outside his current post, in a security company, with some colleagues and the Deputy Chief from his current job, who worked there as "operations consultant", he had a cousin graduated in administration at a private university who was the legal owner of the business.

One day, the Deputy Chief called him to his beach house to say that Rondinei would take the test of confidence in order to hire him: a task of two weeks with electronic devices, in the harbour, easy and well paid, but he had to watch the contract holder´s employees too, who had plotted with outsiders. He accepted the job and called the most experienced person who ever met to be his assistant: none other than Good Thief, who now was in the car.

Taking in consideration that his consultant had good experience and was being very well-paid, Rondinei thought that it would be enough to talk to Good Thief from time to time to show that the material was protected, and taking the opportunity to get others to work in the Area of the Harbour where they were abundant, as he patrolled the area. He even had how to clock out without entering to the police station, but that was against his sense of honesty. He trusted in himself and he would not leave the streets defenceless as he took care of the places that paid to him, even that would mean to sacrifice the only three hours of sleeping he had per day.

*In the second week, Rondinei had a sad surprise. One of the workmen, well known for being notoriously dishonest, looked for him at the way out and told him that Good Thief, with the help of a supervisor, was changing the new pieces of some devices for older ones, from the old generation, and repacking the new parts to some authorized, which they would sell for a gold price when the products began to have trouble.

When Rondinei found out about it, he got furious: the business was the most worthless and easy to be discovered, it was just someone would take the device to be fixed by a trustful technician or a one who was not the authorized ones involved,
