Author

Nikki Larousse

Nikki Larousse, who was reared in northeastern Malaysia, has always been enthralled with mythology from all around the world. She would always return to the escapism she found in writing things down, even if she had to focus on reality and pursue her higher education and work-life balance on the side. The majority of her creations are rooted in notorious Western myths, accounts, and folklore. She does, however, also incorporate Malay folklore from her cultural background into her stories. So, if you dare to dream of cunning heroes and fierce heroines who battle together to achieve their happily ever-afters, enter her realms of Larouverse.

    Sheila Belmonte’s POV

I opened my eyes this morning and bam! I was in a luxury hotel room. I was alone. I don’t know where I was and the only thing that I remembered was my name: Sheila Dubois. suddenly, the door of the hotel room was opened.

Ah, you're awake, the brunet man said as he was carrying a tray of food that was smelling delicious. my stomach growled as I saw the sight of bacon and omelette.

Here, I thought you might be hungry, he said as he put the tray in front of me. I was waiting for this stranger as I don't want to be rude. he chuckled as he saw I was licking my lips.

What are you waiting for? Dig in, he said as he was pushing the tray toward me. I smiled at him before I went to stuff my face with the food. I moaned as I don't ever think that I would be so hungry.

Take it easy. you can have it all, he said as he laughed at my behaviour. Who was this person and what he wanted with me?

After a moment, I finished eating and I was drinking orange juice. I gave the glass to him before he puts them on the night table.

Are you satisfied? he asked me. I nodded before I belched loudly. I closed my mouth as I was ashamed of my lack of manners. He laughed at me.

Huh, it's like you never went, he said as he took my hands. I hesitated before I just let him hold my hands.

I'm so glad that you are okay, he said with a breaking voice. If I don't know any better, he was crying. a man was crying in front of me!

Hey, I said as my voice was hoarse. I cleared my throat before I speak again.

Hey, it's alright. I'm here, I said as I was looking at him. he looked at me before I smiled at him. I went to wipe his tears away.

I know, I know. We cannot dwell on the past now, he said as he smiled at me. I smiled at him before I composted myself to ask the dire question that I have been waiting to know.

Just one tiny question, I said as I looked at him smiling. He smiled at me before urging me to ask him.

Who are you? Where am I? What the hell is going on and can I go now? I said in one breath before I was breathless. I don't know what his reaction would be. He seems sweet and nice to me, it's like we have known each other for years. His eyebrows shot up as he thought I was joking.

Sheila, it's me, your husband. Noah. Don't you remember? he asked me as I just shook my head. I slipped my hands out of
