The music boomed around me, causing my entire body to vibrate with the tension of the bass. On any other night, I would be at home curled up in front of the fireplace with a book in my lap and a glass of wine on the nightstand next to me. Even better, I would be in bed next to the love of my life, waiting for him to come out of the bathroom and wrap his arms around me before taking me deep into the sheets and making me scream at the top of my lungs.
