    Sophia Abrahão – Deixa Estar

I was with a terrible headache when the doorman came to warn me that Olly (my dog) had run away again.

The truth is: if regret killed, I would literally be dead.

Why didn't I take advantage of the Carnival holiday to dedicate myself to my novels instead of hanging out with my two worst/best friends from childhood, and taking the biggest blasted of my life?

I could have denied their invitation and made up some excuse that, in a way, wouldn't make any difference, because they would nag me in the same way, but, in the end, I could have said a simple and objective 'no'.

But I was so apprehensive when they called me, I had just had a conversation with Manu, and I thought I'd made the biggest fool of my life.

I needed to relax, so I told them to come and get me, even though the clock already pointed at almost one in the morning.

Now, I am here with a headache from hell, and without remembering much of what we've done in the nightclub, besides for the fact that Rodrigo and Marcelo carried me.

I imagine they brought me to my apartment and threw me on the bed, which makes me realize that they're not such bad friends.

Above all, the worst part of this whole story was being woken up by the irritating sound of my cell phone's alarm clock. My desire when I hear the alarm was to throw the device on the wall and go back to sleep, but then the bell began to ring repeatedly and, even dragging me through the walls I had to lift.

E a incerteza cada vez aumenta mais

Nessa hora o que é que a gente faz?"

    Nuno Leão – Meu Medo

It was Mr. Rogério, the doorman of the apartment building, who anxious to tell me about one more escape from Olly.

    — I'm sorry, Sir, Dutra, but the next thing I know is that the impish dog, which is super smart, had already jumped the ticket gate and crossed across the street. — Mr Rogério unloaded while I prayed that he would put an end to that story.

    — Don't worry about it, Mr Rogério! He'll be back in half an hour, as usual. — I grumbled, while paced around like a drunk who still lost in his dreams.

All I wanted to do was lie in my large double bed and go back to sleep. Olly didn't matter that much at this moment.

I was sure that he'd come back.

    He always came back.

And this time it wouldn't be different, would it?

After reassuring Mr Rogério, I turned around and entered again in the elevator. For a second I believed that I'd end up sleeping right there, which would probably have happened if my cell phone hadn't vibrated in the pocket of my jeans, causing me a small and distressing fright. It took me a long time to catch it, and when I did, I saw the face of the co-responsible for my hangover on the display of the device.

    — What do you want with me at this hour, Rodrigo? — I said between the yawns, as soon as I put the cell phone over the ear.

    — Complaining about what, Rafael? For the first time in your life, you take off your butt of that chair to do something real. — He challenged me on the other side of the line. — I don't know how you support spend hours and
