    Forever I feel your presence,

    knowing you are here.

You are the ocean, the sky

    the moon, stars, and sun.

You are the seasons, the laughter,

and the light which will always live within us.

The poems in this book were written over the course of a few years, and they explore both sadness and joy that we experience while on Earth, the thoughts and feelings about death of oneself and the passing of ones we love. I feel as though we spend much of our human existence ruminating and worrying about death and the afterlife, so some of this poems celebrate life.
