The Upside Episode 2 - Gloria Matthews
Sterling finished his final words on his latest blog post and sat back in his chair as he wiped his sweaty brow. Okay, so that’s everything, right? I want to make sure I have everything down for my blog.
He looks at his three friends as they sit around his and Lakyn's apartment. Marvin leaned against the kitchen counter as he finished sopping the black oil from his clothes and skin. His entire body was coated in the liquid, and he grit his teeth as he looked at Sterling in disdain. Yeah, that's the whole story. Anything to add about our adventure, Veronica?
Veronica sat on the couch with Lakyn. She was covered in red powder and her clothes that smelled like iron. Lakyn helped her comb through the mess as Veronica sighed. Sounds like you got everything. Oil and rust flakings and all. What about you, Lakyn?
Lakyn was the only one out of the four that wasn’t covered in a nasty substance. However, her makeup had been ruined and her eyeliner made it look like she was wearing a black mask. Veronica had just finished putting her bright blonde hair up into a neat bun as she walked through Lakyn and Sterling's apartment door. They had told her where to find the spare key, tucked under a fake plant that sat outside their apartment door. As she entered their home, she called out their names as she held up a small plastic bag in her hands. Hey, guys! Anybody home? I was just driving through the neighborhood, and I thought I'd return these movies I borrowed.
Nothing but silence answered her calls as she walked around their apartment in confusion. First, she checked the bathroom. It had been recently cleaned, and she assumed to herself that Sterling had recently finished one of his cleaning sprees. It was an interesting fact to learn about him that he loved to clean, and usually kept up with most of the apartment chores just for the fun of it. The polish looked fresh, and the mirror sparkled, and she couldn't help but think of how lucky his future wife was going to be as she shut the door. Not in there.
She muttered to herself. Maybe in their rooms?
Going down the hallway, she saw two doors at the
