Timon and Lisa the Fly
Hi, you there!
a little fly seems to call out, as it flutters its little wings excitedly. Hey, little boy, can you understand me?
Well, what’s up now? There’s only one person here, and that’s me! Who’s making such a racket, hm?
Well, it’s a good thing my mother can’t see this! She’d ban me from watching TV all next week, just because while watching TV on loud in the evening, I can hear someone who wants to talk to me, but nobody is there. How funny! Well, it’s certainly a funny thing, but it wouldn’t be very amusing for me.
But seriously now, I really am alone here on the patio, and there’s nobody crouched under the table, either. Could this little creepy-crawly fly on the jam-jar be calling to me?
What a thought! Flies can’t talk! What a joke! On TV, of course, there are those films where all sorts of things can talk. But I’m not on TV! I’m just on the patio. Enough’s enough! That’s what my dad would say. He’d let it drop right away, I reckon. Granny would probably say, "Oh poppycock!
