    Living Poetry - Chloe Gilholy

    Shells

Speaks like the sea and shines like stars.

    Sleeps on yellow landing.

    Sandcastle decorations.

    Beautiful reflections.

    Taken away by children t

    To discover striking

    appearances and desires of colours.

Some are having the biggest bath

in the world along with pebbles.

    Through the Seasons

Spring is here: it's far too warm.

I've got petals in my hair.

The flowers are coming, and I need some roses.

I'll eat fresh salads and drink cool beer.

A little rain is fine with me!

    ––––––––

Summer is here: it's far too hot.

My skin is redder than strawberries.

The sea is coming, and I need some beaches.

I'll eat ice cream and drink cold wine.

Some rain would be nice, but not on me!

    ––––––––

Autumn is here: it's far too dull.

    Leaves are dancing everywhere.

Halloween is coming, and I need some pumpkins.

I'll eat lots of candy and drink a warm tea.

I don't want any more rain please!

Winter is here: it's way too cold.

My skin is too cold to touch.

Christmas is coming, and I need some snow.

I'll eat a turkey roast and drink hot coffee.

I hope it doesn't rain: the weather is bad enough!

    Yours Truly, The Mirror

    Oh, for goodness sake,

Stop looking at me with that disgruntled face.

    You're not a supermodel,

But you're not a grizzly ogre.

The word ugly is banned in my presence. Hey!

Oi! I see what you're doing.

I know what you're planning to do.

    Don't even think about it.

    Put the razor down!

    Step away from those pills

    They're a load of rubbish.
