Casting a Deal
Time passes as the crow flies to the blink of an eye. Within the fabled kingdom of Watertan known for its beauty of many kinds including one special beauty to be treasured princess Vesmeledar. Where a land enjoying peace through the fullness of time comes to find one full hour past the hour of witching a man once seen as a dashing young image among men. Wrinkled by aged over time to be a frail old shadow of his own former self, bittered a spice is he, spurned by all, listening to the hallows of death’s call. Drives him for the sake of skin tho, hideous sight he is to see. Gives air to those never-ending villainous desires several months now taunted him fearing his own sleep. Having begun taking hold his heart’s control upon the ground inside the forbidden forest where he has taken a seat unseen to all even through plain in sight by the palace walls. As a trespasser where none would not dare enter, that is to say in the king’s personal playground, save one, this frail old man. Forming sticks and branches together as he strikes up a blazing fire sparked alit through ill-seeded words spoken casted towards the royal palace front gate with a voice bellowing thunderously loud with his eye fixed firmly looking out. Whilst up above becomes masked under a moonless night in which shadows of the trees surround him inside a mystic cloak unnoticed by those inside slumbering peaceful in sleep shalt hear not even a whispered sound upon the faintest of breeze.
Whose leave commenced churning up of the ground as roaring winds rise twisting and twirling whilst he dances to the sounds of tree bows breaking all round him within his enchanted circle. Where those words of his evil oh so evil to be blacker than coal opens space window around the spell caster who stands before a glowing purple flamed fire summoning forth a demonic master he long ago swore to serve. As the flames sawed higher in angry taunts of hateful roars came spawning forth to rise up out from the deepest reaches within the spell casters black hearted chest, orders said to be obeyed the spell casters voice rang loud and true those secret words unheard by the living spoken in an unknown tongue. Chanted on and on throughout the night as dawns early light breaks closer towards a deep blood red sunrise.
Come Septitor, come Septitor thy bade thou nought delay, Oh Septitor hear thy now. Thy servant unto thy hour haseth summons thou forth nought shalt ye delay
.
Brings a mist extruding from out of his body circling around and around the old man, in colour of a mystic green the old man does see the body forming a shape cloaked in blackness of his master, where Septitor has appeared to those summoning words spoken with his odorous fowl stench. Whom, sends forth purple flames of the fire an electrifying jail within this mystical shroud so thick even Septitor’s hauntingly ghostly laugh was sealed in silence to all others but the spell caster alone.
Why haseth thou summoned thy unto hour?
"Grant me. Oh, powerful Septitor" the old man begged rising to his knees.
"Grant, thou what! spaketh. Thy grow impatient the longer thy wait" growled Septitor with a furious anger as purple flames danced upon his fingertips ready to strike the old man down where he kneeled.
Cold unto old thy beith. Thy life new thy beckon thou. Beith unto youth forever
.
What thou haseth unto offer?
asked Septitor with a deep wicked voice smiling delightedly at his servants’ weakness.
Naught thy haseth. Less thou taketh thine years served unto thou nought rewarded?
he commented smirking his lips in a shoulder shrugging moment with palmed hands open in the what ever display
"That token is not enough!" snapped Septitor angrily expanding his mystical form double in size as he looked down with eerie blue glowing eyes upon the old man letting those purple flames extending from his fingertips come to stop short of the old man’s heart.
"Master! pleaded the old man
Eternal life thy serve unto thou wilt desire".
Nay thy reject thou offer. Try again?
Beith thy quest, master offer thou wilt?
.
A child
.
Master whose child thou wilt thy offer?
.
A child born unto thou
.
Thy, nought beith child master
he said lowering his head in shame.
Oh, thou wilt. Three beith total, shalt grant thy child unto life eternal?
. As he went on to say, Beith thy offer wilt. Thou shalt wed princess fair
.
Master she wilt nought wed hideous old man beith thy
.
Thy wilt bestows thou sixty days unto youth unto her hand thou beith wed. Shalt thou fail, eternal death unto pits beith hell thou wilt begone. Shalt thou succeed, thou offer beith nought unto thy first, nor thou second child. Thou third child, beith barter sworn. Wilt thou swear?
Yes Master
answered the old man as Septitor plunged down
through the old man’s heart lifting him six feet of the ground whilst turning back the years of time had changed him from an old man to a man of just twenty-five in age. Under the cover of rising black smoke coming off the fire swirling and twirling around combining the mystic shroud together as one. Whilst the rays of a new day’s sun reached down touching him disbursed the smoke with the fire dying out. The once old man fell to the ground to rise reborn as a dashing young man again.
The old man delighted with his young body threw off his cloak and stepped out of the forest baring all into the warmer air touched by the sun’s rays from above. Took in a deep breath and smiled at how lucky he was to be young and alive again. Before cloaking himself inside those old rags again and mounted his old nag rushing off down the gravel road that travelled outside the forbidden forest during a half hour ride to stop just outside the market square. Where he dismounts his nag with a slap it on the nag’s hind telling it
Go home
. Before he moved as quickly as he could into the market square. Still dressed in those old well-worn and torn rag clothes from his former old man’s way of life he had known. Darting off in the shadows of a street alley hiding from view between two fruit baskets from which he stole a meal. As he planned his wicked plot to marry a princess fair, waiting and watching patiently for the tailor to open his store. Tho, he did not have to wait all that long as day moved quick upon the working hour. Which bought with it to the market place signs of life now beginning stir through the footsteps sounding across wooden board of people moving about making their way to work.
One by one the stores began to open and the villagers too wondered in to the market place to buy from the shops and street stalls food, drink and lots of other things. All the time as the old man dressed in rags with his new young body sat in wait quietly, for the right moment to move. At a time near approached to noon when he steps lively out from between the fruit baskets down through the alley and across the market main street along with a smell that reaped rotten and fowl that followed him close behind. Under each passing step he took among the villagers, whom several commented
Peeeew, what is that smell
from having breathed in his stench whilst he swiftly passed between the crowd reaching the front of the tailors’ store and in he did enter with evil intent in his mind and a spirally eye. A quick glance round at the clothes he did see as he whipped around behind the tailor’s back. Who was busy serving another guy with a suit. For a set of clothes his own eye had captured in sight so refined surely a suit of princely worth he would appear to be wearing it and along with twenty quid from the cash register too he did steal. As the tailor only had time to speak aloud to the man he was serving.
"Is that ungodly smell coming from you. Peeew Sir!"
Nay not eye
replied the villager in disgust. I thought it had been you
.
"Pardon me sir, tis not eye" said the tailor loud and proud taking a sniff from under his armpit commenting.
Showered with soap this morning did I
.
So, did I
replied the customer. Demanding For your insult sir, I, want fifty percent off, that be fair says I
.
Fifty percent off
Shirked the tailor with red in his eye.
Yes fifty
replied the customer.
Nay, I will grant you five
.
Make it ten and we have a deal
responded the customer flashing his shiny gold tooth in the tailors’ eye.
Well then it seems you have me at a disadvantage so I shall agree
. As the recently old man turned young again moved swiftly behind the tailor and was about to step out the door only to get caught by the tailor’s eye who yelled out.
Stop thief
at the top of his lungs. But it was too late for the old man in his fit renewed body had fled within the blink of an eye back up the alley and over a fence into the white forest of devil nymphs where it is said all men’s loyalty is tempted and only the loyal hearted man will survive the forest passage, but for he, the man of un-loyal heart man shall be cursed to remain a tree in the forest forever. Not that it frightens him as he jumped in leaping bounds from tree to tree taking care not to touch the ground and awaken the devil nymphs whilst darting through the forest to reach the other side. Leaving one final leap to take he jumped out of the white forest to land in
