CHAPTER ONE

My Heart

We cannot afford to feed and minister to you alone but to bring you and others to spiritual maturity because that is my duty and call from God.

One of the greatest acts of maturity is to accept the responsibility of your mission as a dedicated soul winner.

What has made us strong these years is because we work as a team in gathering people for God, to be touched through the ministry of the man God, lives are changed in this world. Though my voice might be louder than all of you, yet we all have the same vision, pursuit and initiative for God to win souls for Him.

The vision clearly outlines outreach from Act 1:8

But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you;

and you shall be witnesses to me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and

Samaria, and to the end of the earth."

If our church is not living as a spiritually awaking congregation, then we have not started yet because we will not know the meaning of missions and outreaches through the Gospel. If we fail to bring the power to overcome sin as soul winners, then we are failing. This is one reason why we are commissioned to set up to grow in numbers and to organize people to bring life to all sinners through Jesus.

We are prepared to accept disappointments if our messages are resisted and we feel stressed; we shall still preach the gospel. Our labour of love will not be in vain and our ministries will grow, the house of God will be filled and lives will be changed.

The Soul Winning Mandate. Exploits In Soul Winning The reason why we are prepared to face opposition from our hearers is because our messages are clearer than ever and manifestation comes with sharing of the Gospel message.

We have our hearers in mind; we know they feel comfortable sitting in the pews but feel no edge for supporting the outreaches, cells, join the choir or even join the technical and instrumental team, or for our crusades.

We know that their own interpretation of scriptures is different from ours because they are full of questions and opinions which give them enough reason to resist the gospel, but yet we will win them over to Jesus.

However, we know that the messages we share is for everyone; we know that the words we share is for you and no one else. This state of presentation makes our messages clearer as we reach out to our hearers having each of them within our spirit and minds.

We need to muster in prayer constantly our hearers knowing they will opt to resist the Gospel. This does not make us successful in a day but continually. This makes us have to rely on Heaven and the cross as never before. The presence of the Holy Spirit will be stronger on us as we follow such suit.

Preaching the Gospel clearly as it is supposed to be, not as hearers approve but as the Holy Spirit moves us, is key. By divine inspiration, Paul said,

"Are they Hebrews? So am I. Are they Israelites? So am I. Are they the

descendants of Abraham? So am I. Are they ministers of Christ? I am

more; in labours more abundant, in strips beyond measure, in prisons

more frequent, in deaths often.

Of the Jews five times received one forty stripes less one. Three times was

I beaten with rods; once was I stoned, three times I suffered ship wreck,

a night and a day I have been in the deep.

In journeys often, in perils of water, in perils of robbers, in perils by my

own country men, in perils by the gentiles, in perils in the city, in perils

in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils amongst false brethren.

In weariness and painfulness, in watching often, in hunger and thirst, in

fasting often, in cold and in nakedness.

2 Corinthians 11:22- 27

Paul experienced a lot of challenges just on the decision to win souls and to gather people for God. But His focus from the scriptures was the spirit of wanting to do more with the grace given to him in his field as an apostle.

Paul understood that winning souls and gathering them for God for this end time is hard work with spiritual reference. The first reference was that He is an Israelite and then the seed of Abraham and the second is the finished work of Christ. There is Heaven and there is hell, what we do fills Heaven.

We need to dive deeper than ever if we love Jesus. I know the Lord Jesus will build His church, yet it is my prayer that we will be empowered to face the psychology and nature of this changing world to gather souls for Him. I pray that the changes and the current work system will not affect our message still.

We need to upgrade and update our ways of reaching out to souls’ outreach but not that we will also change. It will deter our message of the cross. I pray against this with all my heart because many Christians are hiding even though they boast their ways and knowledge in God. We will be induced with power from the Holy Spirit to share the gospel of the cross.

This service of outreach and evangelism is a true service that will bring us extreme blessings.

This is the chief business of Christians and nothing else. This is the real face of the profession and calling. I know thousands reading this book will thank God for Jesus and will weep for more grace to share the gospel through the ways shared within this book. God will deliver us; we will have victory because we are forever victorious.

CHAPTER TWO

How To Win Souls

Knowing what soul winning is and what is not, is key to help us to understand how to win a soul. First you must walk in the power of the Holy Spirit. The sole passion of the Holy Spirit is to empower us to carry out the highest assignment, winning souls. Every believer will pursue this holy and required works of God, if he or she avails him/herself to be used as a vessel of honour for God’s work.

The aim is to bring souls to Christ rather than making converts to our church. We do not regard it to be soul winning if we steal members of churches already established. Populate your church with new souls and not just old converts of other churches. Don’t steal any other church member and say you are sharing the gospel; be careful! If they believe your message fine, but do not in any way coax them to join your church. If we do that, then we are just not ready for fishing for souls, we are rather thieves.

We cannot build our church with someone’s members, this is not right, in fact some will not be faithful to you. Others will betray you one day if they joined you not from a changed will.

We want to see people blessed through the church and not just merely being part of the church. When souls are gathered fresh for the Lord, their lives from day one is a testimony to God’s glory. The systems of the church must have the strength to turn them into other men as Saul encountered; their evil past turned into a glorious future.

God deliver us because if we thrive on other brethren’s souls, we have failed God and that will defeat the real work of soul winning. We need grace to overcome this plague in Jesus’ name, so that our lives will be of
