Prologue
The First Bridal Shower; Many years ago
Stacy slapped her sister with such force that she stumbled, almost falling to the floor. It was the only way she knew how of get her to close her mouth.
Stacy had just cut her cake. The bridesmaids were talking quietly and eating cake. Most of them had been her friends in college. Her sister and two cousins were also there. Her friends knew how much she had been in love with Rayvon since freshman year. Today, things seemed strange. A few hushed whispers. The changing of conversation as she approached; no one looking her in the eye for too long. She had just about had enough, and was about to address it when her sister Tracy spoke.
Look Stacy, I don’t know Rayvon. And up until today, I thought he was a good catch and that you had done well for yourself.
Tracy, what are you talking about?
Stacy asked.
I have spoken to several of your friends here,
Tracy started.
Stacy looked around the room at each of them. As she did, they turned their heads.
Apparently,
Tracy continued, Rayvon is a hoe and can’t be trusted to keep his dick in his pants.
Tracy stop!
she screamed.
No, I won’t. Your friends are worried that you are making a huge mistake by marrying him, and now so am I,
she continued.
Stacy was pissed. She couldn’t believe that her so-called friends were talking behind her back. She was even more upset that they chose to do this at her bridal shower. This was supposed to be a happy day for her.
Look,
she responded calmly, I have heard the rumors about Rayvon. I don’t believe them. I am marrying Rayvon. We are going to be happy.
Let me spell this out for you, Stacy. He is a liar and a freak. He has probably fucked half the women in this room,
Tracy admonished.
Tracy, you are a jealous bitch and I can’t believe that you would act like this in front of my friends!
Stacy looked around, feeling slightly embarrassed.
I am trying to look out for you, sis,
Tracy said.
I don’t need you to look out for me!
Ok,
Tracy countered. Let’s handle it like this. By a show of hands, how many of you have fucked Rayvon?
Tracy!
Stacy screamed once again.
Ok, well let me rephrase the question. How many of you have not slept with Rayvon?
Tracy raised her hand, as did her cousins. The other eight women in the room did not raise their hands.
Stacy looked at each of them with tears in her eyes. Each had been her friend for several years.
One stood and said, I’m sorry, Stacy,
as she grabbed her purse and headed to the door. The others followed closely behind.
Tracy was about to say something but before she could, her sister had slapped the shit out of her.
Well, this has been a fucked up day,
Tracy said. Stacy and the cousins looked at her with disbelief.
Tracy, I am marrying Rayvon. I don’t care what you think about him. He loves me and I love him. That’s all we need. Either you are going to be there for me, or you’re not. But this wedding is taking place,
Stacy fumed.

STACY
PRESENT DAY
The ringing phone brought Stacy back to her newfound state of bliss.
If only I had listened to Tracy six years ago, it would have saved me a lot of heartache and tears in dealing with Rayvon’s trifling ass, she thought to herself
Stacy was on the phone with her sister, desperately trying to get her to cancel the party she had planned. Stacy had told her bridal party that the last thing she wanted was some man that she didn’t know shaking his private parts in her face, but Tracy was dead set against following her sister’s wishes.
The party ain’t for you,
Tracy countered. Shit, we know you found your Mr. Right. Hell, the rest of us are still looking!
Tracy, are you really going to sit here and tell me that you would consider marrying a male stripper?
she asked her sister.
Hell, yes! I will have a sneak peek at what he’s working with and decide if he is even worth my time,
Tracy answered.
Really, Tracy? So you would base getting to know a man on the size of what he is packing?
Um, yeah! Saves both of us time and money!
They both fell out into laughter. So please have your ass at my house no later than 8:00 tonight.
If you say so, sissy,
Stacy relented.
I say so. And you know I don’t like being called sissy.
That’s why I do it,
Stacy joked. Bye, see you tonight.
Stacy spent the day trying to relax. She didn’t want to show up at the wedding tomorrow with puffy red eyes looking a mess. She had just returned home from the spa. Tylon had arranged for her to spend the entire day being pampered at Relache Spa in Grapevine. She was so appreciative of her soon-to-be husband.
God has truly blessed me in a special way.
She thought about her daughter. She couldn’t ask for a better father in Tylon. He called them his little princesses, and vowed to treat them as such for the rest of their lives. She let her thoughts drift to Rayvon. What a poor example of a husband he had been.
There was no doubt in her mind that she had made the right decision in allowing Tylon to be her baby’s father. She and Tylon had vowed to take that secret to their grave. The only other person who knew that Rayvon was Lacy’s biological father was her sister, and she hated Rayvon. Stacy felt secure in knowing that her family secret would never be told.
Hey, beautiful wifey-to-be,
Tylon said as he kissed Stacy on the lips.
Stacy moaned with pleasure as his tongue made its way in her mouth. She reached around to grab his ass.
You’d better stop that or I’m going to have to carry you upstairs to finish what you’re starting,
Tylon teased.
Ok,
Stacy giggled.
What happened to our agreement of no sex before the wedding?
Tylon inquired.
I never liked that idea anyway,
Stacy replied. It’s just something Tracy mentioned supposedly to make our wedding night even hotter. But I think we got that covered, don’t you?
Tylon laughed and backed away from his bride.
It’s only been a month,
he stated.
A month too long!
Yes, and if we can hold out for a month, one more night won’t be hard,
Ty responded.
For you maybe, but me? I am literally ready to rip your clothes off,
Stacy declared.
A deal’s a deal,
Tylon smiled.
Please?
Stacy begged.
Tylon didn’t want her to beg for anything. He moved over quickly to Stacy and picked her up in his arms. He had been struggling to stay away from her every single day over the past month. He wanted her just as badly as she wanted him. He clumsily bumped around trying to make it to their bedroom as she laughed in his arms. They devoured each other the entire way.
Stacy loved the way Tylon made love to her. It was soft and gentle. Things seemed to flow with ease. He taught her so much about making love, as opposed to the rough sex that Rayvon liked. On occasion, she did like it rough. She liked variety; something that her ex-husband was not capable of.
Before she and Tylon had sex, he'd ask, what can I do for you?
Those six words would always send her body into overdrive. Depending on her mood, she would answer either ‘soft and sweet’ or ‘thug love.’ Today, she was feeling a little thuggish. The thuggish Ty would always start with a quick flip. She would land face down, bottom up. The slaps to her ass would cause her to buck harder. With each buck, she could feel Ty grow longer and stronger inside her walls. She would be dripping wet. The past month of celibacy seemed like a year to them both. Never again did they want to go a month without being intimate.
Stacy knew she was working Ty good. She could feel him as he began to pulsate, but being the true gentlemen that he was, he refused to be the first to reach his climax. He quickly withdrew and flipped Stacy once again. This time, he dove between her legs and began striking her with his tongue. The sensations that he was sending through her body made her cum almost instantly. He had accomplished his goal. This time when he entered her, it was all about seeing that he would reach ecstasy. Stacy would see to it that he did.
As they lay in bed, Ty said, I can’t believe we couldn’t wait one more night.
Stacy laughed, You’re just too damn sexy, Mr. King.
As are you, Mrs. King,
Stacy smiled. She liked the sound of that. Mrs. King, forever and always.
I can’t wait to make this official tomorrow,
Stacy added. So what do you guys have planned for tonight?
she inquired.
I honestly have no idea. My cousin Quentin has been closed mouthed about everything. I have absolutely no idea and that kind of scares me,
Tylon worried.
Scares me too,
Stacy replied. If everything that I have heard about him is true. You know he was trying to hook up with my sister after the rehearsal dinner last night?
I’m not surprised,
Tylon interjected.
I told her to stay far away from him and all of his baby momma drama,
Stacy said.
Ty laughed, Aw, you don’t think they would make a cute couple? Sisters marrying cousins?
Hell no,
Stacy said. I know my sister, and she would end up killing Quentin and his baby mommas.
Remind me never to cross her,
Ty added.
Tracy adores you. But please don’t piss her off. That girl can go from 0 to 100 in a matter of seconds. She is just like my mom,
Stacy replied somberly.
I’m sorry, Stacy. I really tried hard to find your mom before the wedding. I know you wanted her here,
Tylon mentioned.
Thanks, babe. Maybe it’s better that you didn’t. Tracy still wasn’t pleased with the idea of me looking for her. I don’t know if she could have contained her anger long enough for me to get down the aisle anyway. And if I had to choose who I would want by my side, I’d choose Tracy every time. She gets on my nerves sometimes, but that’s my baby sister and I love her unconditionally.
And she loves you just as much,
Tylon replied.

RAYVON
Rayvon met his good friend Jackson from Redwood for drinks. They hadn’t spent much time together since he had been transferred to another school. He hadn’t put in for a transfer, but knew that this was Superintendent Holly’s way of trying to get back at him for sleeping with his wife. It didn’t bother Rayvon one bit. He had grown tired of all the women at Redwood anyway.
This just makes it easier for me to be faithful to Janice. Well, at least halfway faithful, he thought to himself. There’s no way I am giving up Jackie. I was with her before I even met Janice, so technically I am not cheating.
Jackie had been his safe haven when everybody else was acting stingy with the pussy. He’d just send Jackie a message to meet him at their spot, and it sure came in handy when the doctor put Janice on bed rest and said no sex until after the baby was born. Rayvon looked at Dr. Parnell like he had horns growing out his head. There was no way in hell he was going to go two months without sex, but Janice was sticking to the doctor’s rules. She said she was not going to take any chances with losing their son. Rayvon smiled at the thought of how protective Janice was of his son even before he was born. He loved her for that, but not enough to give up Jackie. Jackie was the one person that if she stopped giving him sex, he wouldn’t know what to do. It was just that good.
What are you smiling at, boy?
Jackson said as he sat down at the bar.
Rayvon responded, Oh, just reminiscing.
How have you been?
Jackson asked.
Can’t complain. I have a beautiful woman at home, two wonderful kids, a job. What else is there?
Rayvon replied.
An ex-wife who is about to walk down the aisle tomorrow,
Jackson stated.
Man, now you just had to go and spoil my mood,
Rayvon interjected.
I just wanted to check to see if you knew.
Yeah, I knew it was coming soon, I just didn’t know when. And how do you know?
Rayvon questioned.
Well, that’s the other reason I asked you to meet me. I wanted to let you know I was getting married,
Jackson stated happily.
Married, really? Well, congratulations old man,
Rayvon joked.
Old man? I ain’t but 10 years older than you, youngster!
Wait, that still doesn’t explain how you know that Stacy is getting married tomorrow,
Rayvon said.
Well,
Jackson began. You didn’t ask me who I was marrying.
Rayvon just looked at him. He was afraid to ask. He had slept with so many people around town, he hoped that Jackson wasn’t marrying one of his freaks.
I’m afraid to ask,
Rayvon admitted.
I am marrying Teresa Henry,
Jackson beamed.
Teresa Henry! Stacy’s secretary?
Rayvon questioned.
Yes, that’s my sweetheart.
"Since when? Rayvon asked.
We have been dating for about a year.
And you are just now deciding to tell me this?
Rayvon gawked at Jackson in surprise.
Well, Teresa wanted us to make sure we were going to work out before we started telling anybody. I wanted to let the world know that she was mine. But I would do anything for her. She is the sweetest girl I know,
Jackson beamed as he spoke.
Are we talking about the same Teresa? Teresa Henry? Sweet? Man, that girl got you pussy-whipped. She is hateful and mean.
Well,
Jackson said, that’s only if you get on her bad side.
Man, I don’t even know that girl well and her attitude is always stank with me,
Rayvon frowned. Jackson didn’t respond.
Did you hear me? She’s evil and you’d better run away from that altar, not to it,
Rayvon scolded.
The thing is,
Jackson stated, she only hates you.
Me? Why me? She don’t even know me well enough to hate me.
Rayvon thought for a while. Jackson knew all of his business. He knew every single time Rayvon screwed somebody. He knew who, what, where, when, and how many times he’d screwed someone. Rayvon turned to look at Jackson, and he turned away.
Jackson, please tell me you did not tell this woman all of my business.
Jackson didn’t respond.
Jackson,
Rayvon said, raising his voice.
Man, when she found out I worked with you, she didn’t let on that she worked for Stacy. So when she would ask about my boys at work and what y’all were up to, I didn’t think it would matter by me telling her!
Jackson revealed.
Aw, shit man. I’m going to have to kick your ass out of the club for that one,
Rayvon chastised.
But she never said anything to Stacy about what you were doing,
Jackson said.
It all makes sense now. That girl treated me like shit. I thought maybe I boned one of her friends or something. I had no idea you were telling all of my damn business. Nigga, keep the pillow talk to small talk. I can’t believe you.
I’m sorry,
Jackson added.
Well, fuck it. It’s water under the bridge now. I’m married to Janice and Stacy is about to marry that punk ass nigga she had a baby with. I still can’t believe that bitch was creeping on me.
I don’t know why you can’t believe it. What else did you think she was going to be doing while you were servicing the women of Dallas?
Ha, very funny fool. You know what I mean. I thought I had me a good girl,
Rayvon responded.
Well youngster, if you thought she was a good girl, then why was you screwing Jackie, Cree, and Janice?
Good question,
Rayvon said softly. I guess you really can’t judge a book by its cover.
And the pot can’t call the kettle black. Just saying, Mr. Pot,
Jackson laughed.
So when are you getting married?
Rayvon asked.
Next year, June. Teresa said she always wanted to be a June bride.
Yeah, you should send her ass to that Bridezilla show,
Rayvon laughed.
I wanted to ask you to be my best man,
Jackson suddenly revealed to him.
Rayvon looked at Jackson, Are you sure? Have you run that idea across Teresa?
No, but she knows how close I am to you. She has to know that I am going to ask you to be in the wedding.
Man, did you think about how close she and Stacy are? I am sure Stacy is going to be in the wedding, and I am not trying to get caught up in drama,
Rayvon said.
There won’t be any drama. You are married to Janice. Stacy is marrying Tylon.
Wait,
Rayvon said. How the fuck you know his name?
Oh,
Jackson muttered.
Oh what, man?
Rayvon asked.
Um, Stacy had us over to their house for dinner a few weeks ago.
What, man you foul! You’re breaking bread with my enemy,
Rayvon judged.
Look Rayvon, I normally wouldn’t do no shit like that. You my boy, and have been since you came to Redwood. But I really love Teresa. I want to give this girl everything I got.
Damn nigga, it’s that bad, huh?
Rayvon scoffed.
You don’t even know. Teresa is my everything! I want all us to be able to hang and be alrightwith each other.
Man, I don’t know about all that. I think that girl really hates me. But if that’s what you want, I will be the best man,
Rayvon agreed.
Cool,
Jackson nodded his head and smiled.
So,
Rayvon said. How was Stacy when you saw her?
You sure you want do this?
Jackson asked, looking uneasy.
Man I asked, didn’t I?
Rayvon frowned at him and waited for a response.
She’s good,
Jackson replied slowly. She seems happy.
Where do they live?
Rayvon continued. Jackson didn’t respond.
Jackson, where do they live?
Rayvon repeated
Frost Farms.
Frost Farms,
Rayvon repeated.
The gated section,
Jackson added.
Those are million dollar homes!
Yep, turns out, Tylon owns 50% of King Enterprise,
Jackson
