ou are free to be, do, or have whatever you want–right now.
Society’s twisted perception confuses regular jobs... these days and warped for centuries.
Everyone tells you that getting a job means freedom to live your life your way or earning money so you can do whatever you want later on when you get old.
Of course, that’s not the truth in today’s world where convinced of what to think and how to act by those who want to sell us something while we get lost with the wave of traditions and become more like a mindless machine each passing day.
Society is telling you, you must work for somebody else so you can afford things others have and that you must do it for as long as possible because money is the way to live.
What’s worse is that most people are too busy believing they cannot survive without a regular job, so they opt for security over freedom and don’t even try to seek other options.
It seems we all forget why we started doing what we do. We forget about the dreams we once had and that there’s still a universe out there waiting to be explored.
Chapter 1
Wake Up Call
Y
ou don’t need a regular job to feel you’re being productive and making progress in life. It’s the present-day belief that has brainwashed everyone into thinking otherwise, and it’s unfortunate if you let it get the best of you.
I’ve been doing this for 10 years now and there have been plenty of trials. I’ve had so many jobs and worked in different countries for over 5 years.
However, there were always those few months when I felt like everything was going downhill, making me wonder what the hell I was doing with my life that whole time.
My income would go from triple digits to double digits and, as a result, my life would go downhill too.
I’ve done this job for so many years, but still I lack the mindset of being self-employed. It’s like drowning when you know that there’s air around you and you just accept your fate instead of reaching out for it to get what you want.
However, I can say that there are 2 major differences between regular jobs and the one you choose to make your own:
- Stress. Employees don’t realize that they work only for their managers, so they do everything as if it was a war zone where someone has to be on top at all times. What’s worse is most employees love the mutual threats and try to be friends with their managers in order to survive
. All of this creates stress in an employee’s life, making him work overtime and become a slave.
Money. Employees don’t set their salaries. They just get paid
