Joe Rogan: Podcasts, Pot & Persistence - A Biography

About this ebook
Born in New Jersey, from a single-parent family, Rogan has had to work hard for all of his achievements. He started performing in the comedy circuit during the 1980s and moved onto the small screen during the 1990s, however, he garnishes far more fame and attention from his popular podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience. When his podcast was first broadcast, his main followers were listeners who were already familiar with his stand-up comedy or from his UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) commentating days, but now his brand of honest and unbiased discussion is enjoyed by a far greater audience. Rogan, holding no corporate interest or political ties is the perfect person to host a podcast. His show is merely a transfer of ideas between some brilliant people who walk the earth. From actors to MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) fighters to Ph.D. mathematicians, Joe Rogan engages in humble dialogue that gives the ordinary person an alternative insight into a vast array of subjects. There are very few podcasts that can offer all of these topics in just one show.
Most podcasts are recorded, edited and then aired at a later date, therefore filtering any unwanted material. However, The Joe Rogan Experience is recorded and produced live, making it a unique and unfiltered podcast which often inspires spontaneity and outrageous antics, such as the time when Tesla’s CEO, Elon Musk smoked marijuana live on air. Unlike most public figures, Joe Rogan says whatever he wants, when he wants, and to who he wants, which is one of the many reasons why his followers like and respect him.
If you have ever paid attention to Joe Rogan’s career and work, what is evidently clear is that his honesty and integrity are prevalent in his topics and discussions. Many of his followers find Rogan’s podcasts to be relatable to their everyday lives, another reason why he has attracted such a large following. He is passionate about his beliefs, and he is more than willing to speak up and vocalize things that he believes in. Rogan's brand of comedy and discussion is nothing short of endearing and captivating. Never one to shy away from controversy, his podcast has hosted a wide variety of guests including, Neil deGrasse Tyson, Russell Brand, Louis Theroux, and Jordan Peterson.
Joe Rogan is definitely of the opinion, that you should be your own person. To be an individual, while being honest with others, you also need to be honest with yourself about the things you believe in. I think this is something that everyone can agree with.
