All Life Forms at the Edge of Chaos

Like a leaf, the outer edge of the leaf is the border where the leaf grows, from the random nutrients at the outer edge, into a structured leaf—like all life real or artificial.

Chapter 228 - Ione Island and Blind Girls

    6/23/2013

In Guatemala, one lady came to the nurses, "...My sister has two daughters that were born blind… My sister is now just a beggar in Guatemala City… People say their blindness is from overgrown eyelashes that can be fixed by eye doctors… My sister can work in the packing plant like me... The children can do the fruit watering even though they are blind…

The head nurse replied, … The company and rules forbids us from hiring children, but we can hire your sister; that way the kids will get medical coverage, and if possible, the surgery…

The next day, the lady and the two children arrived at the plantation, with a pickup full of their belongings.

The new plant manager came over to the office to talk to the lady, and found her perfect for the job, to start the next evening, so the two sisters could babysit each other’s kids.

It wasn’t until Thursday that the optometrist visits the plantation. The kids were scheduled for 2:00 and 3:00 appointments.

The optometrist scheduled surgeries for the two girls the next Tuesday, in Guatemala a City hospital, because children need to have general anesthetic for the surgery. (The surgeries only cost $600 in Guatemala, with the Cuban trained doctor.)

The eye surgeon, cut in and, slit the extra eyelids.

Because they were blind from birth their brains were never trained to recognize objects, so they see all things as being unrelated, such as an object and its shadow. When things move, like a person walking, they could realize the colors were related. They were scared.

Their brains gradually started to make the connections, and objects made sense. Like a book on the table, they don’t realize what it is until they touch it, and then it makes sense.

By about a month, they can walk good, and go up to things to touch them to realize what they are. At two months, they put the kids in the lowest grade of kindergarten.

The brain turns chaos into images that other parts of the brain can recognize.

    Fast Image Recognition In 3-D

The robotics people had done a good job of writing software to recognize stationary objects, and have a library of about 50,000 things; but recognizing individual trees in a forest or jungle was just not going to work. Even with a four camera system, there are just too many small tree branches and shadows to confuse the issue. A single tree is no problem for the robots, but not going to be reliable enough on the drones.

The chaos of round the trees will take long time to develop, or a computer will have to get set on the project of writing the software.

    Riots In Brazil

(6-2013) The public is fed up with the amount of robbers and violence in Brazil, as well as the corrupt government, so there is rioting here and there in Brazil.

There was no action at the farms or the construction area in Ipanema, so they decided to continue construction with additional security guards in place.

    Cuban Music

In Miami their radio station started copying demo CDs, and old Cuban music; 33, 45, and 78 Records, reel-to-reel tapes, cassettes, from the early days of Cuba to the present. They made very high quality (not compressed) digital copies, and sent them on the internet to the radio station in Cuba.

Additionally, they are collecting Beta and VHS music tapes, DVDs, and Bluerays, and then sending them on the submarine to Cuba, because of the embargo. The workers in Havana cost a lot less, so they are copying the video material to computer files there. They set up more hotel rooms temporarily, on the same floor. (No hotel rooms are rented out on this floor.) (The studio building is just a shell at this time.)

The radio station is sent via satellite to all the hotels the company controls, as a stereo TV station, with a slide show, and some music videos, and some live shots of the disc jockeys. The statistics of the listeners are good especially in the Spanish speaking countries.

Once the people realized what was going on with the old Cuban music, they started bringing in boxes of records, tapes, and old CDs to the radio station.

Unscrupulous business people kept asking about renting hotel rooms from all three hotels on Grand Cayman Island, to be offices for their offshore business from Europe and the US, to avoid various taxes.

The Coronado Holding Company is one of the thousands of companies to keep an office in the Cayman Islands, to represent some of their Cayman Island corporations.

So, when the resort managers mentioned this to Sheldon and Joe; they decided to have the research people look into the situation. The research people took on the project of seeing what the competitors are charging for various services.

Joe called Brad, to have him and Ted, possibly set up an operation, because of their experience in Panama with the trust funds. The next day they popped up from Costa Rica where they were playing with the drones.

After a meeting between Joe, Sheldon, Brad, and Ted, they were given the project to set something up. Sheldon left them with two research girls with BS degrees in business administration.

Then the rest of the group loaded up in the green vulture to finish the trip to Costa Rica.

There are several services all the unscrupulous business people need:

    1. Physical mail forwarding using plain brown packaging.

    2. Opening and scanning some mail, then e-mailing it to the appropriate person’s office.

    3. Trash the junk mail.

    4. Answer the phone with the appropriate company name; then call, forward, or email someone.

    5. Have a real door for notices to be posted on, and then have someone photograph and then email the picture.

    6. Deposit checks that arrive.

    7. Some businesses want a law office located on the site.

    8. Some want a bank on the site.

    9. Some want a desk with a phone and a real computer.

    10. Automatic phone call forwarding.

    11. Email forwarding both ways.

    12. Notify them if someone comes to the door.

    13. Have a site name that sounds good, and allow no name at all.

    14. Location safe from fire, flooding, and have security guards.

Once they decided they would do a project, the group figured it would be best to put it at, or very near, the airport, so customers could come and go very fast.

Brad went to the airport manager’s office to check it out. Brad described the situation, and requirements; it needs to be about 100 feet high (30 meters), and they need about 100,000 ft², (10,000 m²).

The manager said, "...That would have to go way over by the road, so it doesn’t interfere with the crosswinds very much.

Brad asked, Like over by where the driveway to the airport starts, at the road? It would be further offset if we put it by the terminal and customs building, but close enough for customers to walk?

"Yes that would work; the airport owns that land... I would have to recommend that to the Federal government... Ah... Ah... I could recommend that or not recommend that... Ah... Ah... Lori paid $30,000, for my consulting fees, to get the other building and fuel tanks approved."

Oh, yes, I know what you mean... If we decide to move forward on the project, I will come back more prepared... Can you give me some kind of paper map with the rough boundaries, so I can talk to our finance and architectural people?

The group figured the location is good, so they came up with a name: World Headquarters Building – Grad Cayman Island

The Chicago Bank thought it would be a good idea to build the building, and then sell it to the Scholarship Fund, upon completion, with a super low interest rate. Of course, the Chicago Bank will build a bank in the building’s first floor.

The Coronado Holding Corporation, will start a new Cayman Island corporation World Headquarters Building – Georgetown, Grand Cayman Island, Inc. to be the leasing company.

A Round Building With A Concave Roof

It will be a circular building with five floors, with the center of each floor hollow above the first floor. 106,000 Ft² (9000 m²).

    Meanwhile In Cuba

A 92-year-old man, still walking with a cane, came into the hotel looking for the radio station.

The front desk called up to the radio station, and a girl came down to see what’s up. They haven’t been revealing the location of the temporary studios to very many people.

The old man said, ...I used to have a radio station, here in Havana, but the Castro government made me shut it down, when they took over power... I have many records and tapes to donate to your wonderful station... I listen to your wonderful station all the time now... Can you send a truck over to my grandson’s farm near Carddenas...?

The girl replied, Oh that’s not too far from our farm, we can go get them in a farm truck...

Yes, that is a nice farm now, Castro can’t run a farm the way the capitalists can...

Eventually, both wearing hard hats, the girl showed the old man the building, under construction, that will be the radio station, TV station, and its full basement for libraries.

The old man said, Back in those days it all fit in a building the size of a house; transmitter, studio, library, and offices. I saved everything hoping that Castro might get overthrown by the US, but it never happened.

We dug a hole under the barn, after storing it in the hay loft for many years; it is all dusty and dirty, after over 60 years.

The technician that was with them by now said, ...That’s okay, we can clean up things gradually...

You will need to bring many boxes, because most of them will fall apart by now.

The old man drew a map about how to find the farm, and they scheduled to meet the next day at 2:00 PM.

Two guys from the station and a truck driver drove a 40 ft semi truck to the farm, from Lori’s Green Farm.

The old man, when he was 45, dug a hole, 9 feet (3 meters) deep, and 20 ft (7 meters) by 20 feet (7 meters) wide, then laid in some plastic lining, and put the stuff down there. Then they built a new floor, up a little, for the whole barn, with heavy wood beams over the hole; they did not leave a door/hatch of any kind.

Yesterday, the farmers had cut an access hole in the wood, at the edge of the storage area, and dug down with post hole diggers to make an access area beside the stuff.

The smell of mold and mildew was strong.

There was room for one person to stand beside the ladder in the hole.

It was reel-to-reel tapes at this corner of the
