Reviews for Addiction Private Practice

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I’m a licensed mental health professional for more than 15 years who is currently making the switch to private practice. Unlike most books and info on various coaching websites, this book gives the most comprehensive detailed information on what needs to happen step by step to begin ethical and legally compliant practice with far more important (and needed details) than I I’ve come across in my daily research of available information without leaving out parts that typorequire you to pay for something else (a course or coaching typically) to get full benefit and important details needed to implement the particular steps. The answers are right here in the book and you can actually do your own research on how to accomplish everything he advises. It included and includes a lot of liability and ethical risk-reduction that I haven’t seen anywhere else. His APN network available as a membership that save you the time and effort in trying to do it yourself, isn’t necessary because EVERYTHING that needs to be put into place is given in this book. It is an easy decision to join his optional APN network. I can be certain that the additional information in is APN just builds on the foundation he’s already put in place through this book. It’s been so time consuming trying to figure it out on my own, that I’ve had t delay starting to market and accept clients. The membership will facilitate me actually opening my doors that much sooner, so it pays for itself. The other thing is everything mentioned in the book can be applied to a MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELING practice as well. I’m actually thinking about getting additional training to be able to add addiction services as a specialty well, rather than getting training in a mental health specialization because there’s competition in addiction private practice. I’ve treated several clients with co-occurring mental health and SUD disorders, but primary SUD treatment never appealed to me because there’s a lot more extraneous factors that I arise that I am unwilling to do. I never considered that those who aren’t addicted, but have substance misuse they want to prevent from becoming addiction was a was a population that sought treatment. These people don’t have the issues that are more complicated. For example, trying to have a relationship with their adult children who were removed from their care to and grew up in the foster care system once due to the addiction have recovered. I gained more from this short easy read than I gained from the 15 or 20 other sources combined. My doors can open sooner because of this. Thanks for sharing your expertise fully.
