About this ebook
The dragons are manifold. There are giants and there are fairies but dragons are unique in their variety. This is a story of the bipedal dragons, the Draco erectus, the dragons that walk like mankind, the magical, shape shifting dragons that came to save the remnants of the human race. Save them from themselves that is. Some say they came to farm us for food. some say they came to use us as sex toys, some say they came as comrades. Some say anything and everything is true.
This is the story of what took place in the leading up to the creation of a new type of dragon, one that is partially human. It is also a story of love between dragon and human. Believe it or not but they still walk among us.

I'm Tony and I used to write when I was young and then life got in the way. Let's hope it's not too late to make some impression with what I write. I'm not giving up this time round that's for sure but I may take breaks :)I'm not much into social media so don't expect any guff from me. I'm bit of a recluse living in a forest in South Wales with a very variable mobile phone connection.

Foreword:
The Story of Dragon Spawned
They walk among us still
The dragon spawned
Descendents of a dragon
And a human union
You may be one, so could I
You who read this in your bed
Or me whose words you read
We’ll know when the time is right
Then what will befall us
That we do know not at all
Be it joy or final war
The end or rebirth of time

Chapter 1: Dragon Spawn
My fair Dragon Queen,
remember me though I'm gone,
your darling pet I.
So much more was I,
sharing your bed together
with your scaly prince,
mixing both our seed
in the temple of your womb,
quickening the breath
of life in dragon
and human spawned dragonets
to rule all below.
Did you know my kind
rule side by side with yours, bound
inextricably,
forever entwined
in a bed of flesh and scales,
lords of lore and fire,
while bright stars still burn
in the wide dark firmament
and bring warmth to life?
It is so, my queen,
though these words are very old
and I wind blown dust.
Remember me still
as your pet, your bed warmer
and your prince's man.
I remember you
I remember you, my fair boy
I always have and always will
I remember finding you in the burning village,
a pitiful thing, all bones and rags.
I remember you standing there
a flaming brand in your hands
and defiance burning in your eyes.
I remember you asleep in my arms
as I flew you away from all the destruction.
I remember the first time you looked at me
with love shining in your eyes
I remember the tears escaping my eyes
as I felt love for the first time
And had someone to share it with
I remember how love can change
When you grew to be a man
I remember you with a passion
As I picture us locked together
You taking me to that place full of light
I remember you and my prince
United in perfect joy with me
I remember how you helped me
Save both our kind forever.

(The Secret Dagger
The youth approached the throne and knelt down.
The wizard whispered to the queen. The dragon looked down at the servant and nodded to the wizard. He descended the stairs and made his way out. As he passed the youth he gave his shoulder a pat.
The youth gave a quiet cough.
Yes?
said the queen.
You sent for me, my queen.
And you came. Good.
She looked at the boy in silence for a moment. I have an errand for you. A message to deliver to the captain of the guard. You must not stop on the way and you must give it to no other. Let me see. Ah, yes. He will be in the training arena about now.
She turned to her lady in waiting and whispered something to her.
Your majesty,
said the servant.
The queen turned back to the servant. You are still here. Why?
The message, your majesty.
The message? I see. He’ll understand but, if you must say something, say ‘my answer is delivered’.
Yes, your majesty.

The youth peered through the entrance. In the centre of the arena two soldiers were squaring up to each other. As he watched the smaller of the two darted forward and grabbed the other one around the neck, fell backwards and threw him over onto his back.
Well done,
boomed the captain of the guard. A guardsman said something to the captain. The captain looked over to the entrance. Yes, what is it?
The youth entered the arena and made his way to the dragon. As he did so the guards began to whisper to each other as he passed. A tall human stepped in front of him barring his way. The youth stepped to the side and ran past him. A dragon put out his foot to trip him but he leapt over it. Another grabbed his tunic but the lad slipped out of it and made the final dash to reach the captain.
Well done, lad,
said the dragon. You’ll do.
The youth looked perplexed for a moment. Captain, sir, the queen’s answer is delivered.
Indeed it is. Here catch.
The Dragon threw him the staff he was holding. The boy caught it. Your queen is in danger! The guard is compromised! Defend the queen, boy!
As he said it, the guards lowered their visors, drew their swords and began to advance on the captain and the queen’s boy.
The dragon drew his sword and attacked the advancing line of guards. He knocked a sword aside and landed a punch that sent one of the humans flying backwards. The youth swung his staff low and knocked another guard off his feet.
Go, lad, go!
shouted the captain as a number of the attackers swarmed over him. The youth left the arena at a run. He did not look back.

The throne room door slammed open and the servant entered at speed. A tall figure dressed in black was approaching the queen, a shield held before him.
The youth ran at the figure and began to beat
