      Opportunity regularly to observe at the nest the development of young Great Horned Owls, Bubo virginianus (Gmelin), under favorable conditions, was afforded when a pair nested and reared their three offspring in 1945 and one offspring in 1946 on the vine-covered north wall of the Museum of Natural History at the University of Kansas.
