Value of currencies rise and fall, economies crumble and the ones that stand strong are the ones who take the lead. The richest cities in the world for 2017 are also the major contributors to their countries GDP.
Introduction
None of them were cities before. There has always been a small region which has later prospered into being a big city. Every city has history or war, natural calamities and politics buried deep within. It was only in some 2000 years back that cities seemed to have emerged and the Greeks and the Romans seem to have bought the bigger cities into existence. From ancient to present there are some cities which have always been important in some way and these are the ones which seem to be doing well in modern times too. There are some important things if noticed that fuel the growth of these cities which help them in becoming the richest countries of the world.
A growing city’s transportation is always well connected. Industrialization requires movement of raw materials and goods from one place to the other. The workers also need to go to their workplace for which there should be easy and cheap transportation available.
