Derek and Camella, A Homegirl Misled - Just Deirdre.
On the starboard side of the cruise ship, Derek lay unconscious in a lifeboat for hours, unnoticed. Bleeding from the head, broken bones and left for dead. This moment should alter his life forever; now he had learned the hard way that there are choices and consequences with matters of the heart.
Cruise day embarkation! Liquor in hand! Bon voyage Bitches!
shouted Derek.
Used to cruising as a solo couple, this would be the first group cruise for Ginger and Clyde. Tina, Ginger’s daughter, Derek, Ginger’s half-brother from the same father, Camella, Derek’s friend, and Samson, Derek’s cousin from his mother’s family would join them. Derek and Samson were close. He was of regular build not muscular, but with a butt so tight one could bounce a quarter off it. Derek a happy-go-lucky guy, always smiling, showing off his one gold-capped tooth. However, metrosexual, every article of clothing, and each accessory he wore, matched in color – from his wristwatch to his shoes.
Derek introduced Camella to everyone. Camella, this Ginger, my big sis. And over there, is Clyde, her significant other. Next is my lovely niece, Tina, and you know Big Sam.
Everyone greeted her, and although Camella did her best to pretend she was excited, underneath something was odd. Her face, her eyes, appeared to show signs of sadness mixed with anger. But no one dared ask her what was
