      Chastity was trying not to act like a miserable wretch, but the truth was, she wasn't happy. Her girlfriend Roxi had promised her a relaxing romantic retreat. So far this excursion had been anything but relaxing or romantic. She was following Roxie down some of the most strenuous trails she had ever walked. To make matters worse, yesterday it had rained. It wasn't just a drizzle, but a full-on storm. The path was drenched in muddy puddles.

      If she had known this adventure was going to involve so much physical activity, she would have worn something sensible like Roxie. She should have known when she saw the black tank top and khaki skirt Roxie was sporting, that she was overdressed. She also had hiking boots and knee-length socks. Even her fingerless gloves were practical. The only thing impractical about Roxie was that she refused to wear underwear. Well, that and her brightly colored pink and purple pixie cut.
