About this ebook

This is book 3 and the finale of the Mohave Eagles MC series!

I wasn't ready to get piped by a biker.

But Pierce Murdock didn't care if I was ready or not.

He claimed me with his eyes the moment he saw me.

And there's not a man alive who would dare challenge his claim.

I never thought I'd be some biker's plaything.

But Pierce makes me do a lot of things I'd never expected.

Like sneaking off in the middle of a wedding to get hot and heavy in a dark corner.

But us banging like rabbits is just the beginning.

When a gang crashes the reception with violence on their mind, Pierce is the only one who can protect me.

He whisks me away…

And then, just like that, he disappears.

Two months without a word from the mysterious bad boy.

But he left me with a wicked parting gift…

A baby in my belly.

And now, without a word of warning…

He's back.

And he's ready to claim what's his.

    Chapter 1

H i! You’ve reached the voicemail of the new Mrs. Ricardo Gould. Leave me a message, and I’ll call you back as soon as I can!

Anna disconnected over her sister’s giggle on the voicemail message. She’d heard it enough times to know that there was actually no point in leaving a message for her. Her calls were never returned.

She might have been worried that something had happened to the honeymooners if her sister hadn’t been updating her social media pages nearly hourly. From the slew of pictures and statuses that she posted, Anna knew that Meagan was definitely alive. She was also definitely checking her messages and then deleting them as they came in. She’d left messages daily, and the voicemail never filled up. It was just like her younger sister to ignore what she didn’t want to deal with.

With a heavy sigh, Anna put the phone back down on the counter and closed her eyes. Her head was beginning to pound, and she felt tears of frustration come to her eyes. Why the hell was she always the responsible one? Why did Meagan always make her into the bad guy? She really didn’t want to call her sister and order her home, but what other choice did she have?

When a tear spilled down her cheek, she brushed it away impatiently. That didn’t stop another one from joining it. She’d been house-sitting for nearly two months now, and she was so homesick that it was physical.

The only good thing that had come out of her extended stay here was the time she’d spent with Pierce. Since they had started sleeping together again things had been amazing. It wasn’t just the sex either; it was their whole relationship. She’d never imagined that it could be so good.

He’d started tossing out baby names each day when he got home from work. Each one was more ridiculous than the last. Last night’s suggestion had been Amaranth. She knew that he was just teasing her, but it still made her happy to know that he spent part of his time at work thinking about their baby.

He’d also mentioned that she should probably see a doctor soon and she had agreed. She probably should have gone as soon as she found out that she was expecting. It was just that she wanted to do it when she got back home. One of her former clients in Fresno was a receptionist at an OB-GYN office that sounded really nice.

That brought her to the one dark cloud over her relationship with Pierce. She had a feeling that he expected her to move in with him with Meagan and Ricky came back home. He hadn’t said it yet, and she knew that it would be a while before he worked up the nerve to take that plunge, but she also knew that it was coming. Eventually, he would ask her, probably in that falsely casual way he asked her about things that were really important.

And she knew that she would say no.

Even without the murders that had happened in the town over her time in Meagan’s house, she didn’t want to live here. No matter how luxurious her current surroundings were, she loved her adopted home of Fresno with all her heart. It was just the right kind of hippy and wealthy to support her business and to mean that she genuinely liked most of her clients.

Wiping her eyes defiantly, Anna picked up the phone once more. She would call until her sister answered. She loved the weather, the scenery, and the people back home and she wasn’t about to give up her whole life because of a pregnancy and an infatuation.

As she thought the word, though, she had the uncomfortable sensation that she was lying to herself. She let the phone drop back onto the table and rested her chin in her hand. What she felt for Pierce, if she was completely honest with herself, was turning into a whole lot
