    Mike Cashman writes serious and satirical items on Brexit and other topics. He is married with four children and nine grandchildren. After a career in project and programme management, he worked for an international development charity for six years, and saw first-hand the effects of the damage to sterling from the Brexit events. So he asks:

    As a cake you can have and can eat,
    Do you now realise
    The extent of the lies,
    And that Brexit's a trick, not a treat?"
