The Cross and the Crucifix

About this ebook
Revelation 13. 1-8 is a prophesy having the whole world worshipping a multi-headed beast. As it is unlikely the whole world will worship a literal beast with multiple heads, we're looking for a figurative interpretation. What about the following? If you worship a false god then you are worshipping this multi-headed beast of Rev. 13. 1-8. False gods are beastly because they lead people away from heaven and to perdition. Recall Revelation 2. 9 has Jesus saying He knows the blasphemy of those who claim to be Jews but are a synagogue of Satan. Jesus forgave the Jews for their role in the crucifixion, but if the Jews are promoting a heresy which leads people away from heaven and to perdition then the Jews can be said to be in a Satanic cult. You might pray to a god you claim is the Creator of the Universe, but if in fact you are worshipping a false god, then you are lost in heresy - a heresy is a false belief which leads people away from heaven and to perdition - and the theory runs you are therefore worshipping this multi-headed beast which we read about in Rev. 13. 1-8, though you claim to worship the Creator of the Universe.
For instance, suppose Islam leads people to perdition. Suppose Islam is a false religion. Muslims claim to worship the True God, but if in fact Allah is a false god, and if Islam is a heresy, if Islam leads people to perdition not to Heaven, then the Muslims might be said to worship this multi-headed beast of Rev. 13. 1-8.
If the True God says the Roman Catholic Church is a false church, if the True God says Rome leads people to perdition and not to Heaven, then Roman Catholics worship a false version of the Trinity, they worship a false god, because they worship a god who says Rome leads people to Heaven. But if the True God says Rome is a false church which leads people to perdition then the Roman Catholics worship a false god - they worship a trinity but a false version of the True Trinity - and so they worship this multi-headed beast of Revelation 13. 1-8.
The Roman Catholic crucifix is an image of a Roman Catholic version of Jesus. A Roman Catholic version of Jesus is a version who says Rome leads people to Heaven. A Mormon version of Jesus is a version of Jesus who says the Mormon Church leads people to Heaven. If Rome is a false church, if the True Jesus / True God says Rome leads people to perdition, then the Roman Catholic crucifix is the image of a lie. Again, it is the image of a version of Jesus who says Rome leads people to Heaven. But if the True Jesus says Rome leads people to perdition, then the Roman Catholic crucifix is the image of a lie. The image of the beast comes to mind if the Roman Catholic crucifix is the image of a lie, the beast being of course a false version of God / Jesus.
The Dogma of Papal Infallibility says you are anathema (accursed / damned) if you reject that Dogma. Well, if Rome is God's True Church, and if you rebel against God's True Church by rejecting one of her Dogmas, then why wouldn't you be accursed? Recall rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft.
But then on the other hand, if Rome is a false Church, if Rome leads people to perdition not to Heaven...
We're waiting for the Antichrist to show up. And we're waiting for the 3 angels from Heaven mentioned in Revelation 14. 6-11 to show up. 2 Corinthians 11. 13-15 says Satan masquerades as an angel of light. When the the Antichrist shows up, don't get fooled into thinking he is an angel of light. And when 3 angels from Heaven show up, don't be mislead by the Antichrist into believing they are 3 angels from Hell.

Bill EE-tem. Born in Minneapolis, 1.2.60. Now living in St. Paul. Had lots of jobs: High School math teacher, football coach, track coach, legal coding / data entry, production, bar bouncer etc., etc. Bounced around some myself. Lived in Mexico for 20 months, in Oaxaca. Lived in Los Angeles for a few years. Traveled for 4 months round Europe after graduating from the University of Minnesota in 1983, B.A. in Mathematics. My religious books are all about searching for the True Church. The descriptions and contents of my 10 You Tube playlists also deal with that theme. If a Church leads people to Heaven then that Church is the Bride of Christ, the True Church, the Church Christ founded on a rock, Matthew 16. 13-19. If a church is lost in heresy and drags people down to eternal perdition then that church is a false church. The Christian scriptures are clear there is only one True Church, only one Bride of Christ. And yet there are thousands of separate churches / thousands of unique denominations in the world. This a big glaring problem. John 6. 53-55 tells us one must celebrate Holy Communion to attain Heaven and escape perdition. 1 Corinthians 11. 27-29 says you drink damnation into your soul if you celebrate Holy Communion in an unworthy manner. I've spent roughly 7 thousand hours working on my You Tube playlists, so be sure to scrutinize those when you get a chance. These You Tube videos explain how we got no end of Christians who violate 1 Corinthians 11. 27-29. They drink damnation into their souls by sharing the bread and the wine with people who push evil, Anti-Christian things. https://youtube.com/@billetem5868 www.billetem297@gmail.com

The Cross and the Crucifix
It’s difficult to give a concise paraphrase of Christianity because there’s so much to explain. Merely to give a brief summary of the most controversial aspects of Christianity takes lots of explaining. Revelation 9 says, more or less, that monsters will one day arise out of the abyss and these monsters will torture for 5 months the people who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads. Malachi 4. 1 says the day is coming, burning like an oven, when all the proud and wicked people will be set on fire.
Merely to explain what Christianity teaches about how one attains Heaven and how one escapes Hell takes no end explaining. The scriptures on getting to Heaven and escaping Hell begin simple enough but then they get terribly complicated. Some simple scriptures, would be John 15. 6 which says those who don’t abide in Christ are like sticks which are gathered up and thrown into the flames. 2 Thess 1. 8 mentions hellfire for those who do not know God and who do not obey the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Christianity teaches that God is a Trinity of Father, Son and Holy Spirit. John 14. 23-26 says those who love Christ keep His words, and those who don’t love Christ don’t keep His words. Christ spoke quite a few words on the subject of Hell, see for example Matthew 25. 31-46. Christ said oaths are from the Devil, and yet lots of Christians take oath. It’s always odd to see members of the Parliaments in the UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand etc., tale oaths of allegiance to the British monarch, because Christ said oaths are from the Devil, and then the MPs who take oaths to obey the monarch inevitably violate their oaths and don’t obey the monarch. Edmund Burke hated oath taking because taking oaths don’t hold people to their oaths, they transform honest people into liars, oath-breakers, which is probably why Jesus said oaths are from the Devil.
John 6. 53-55 says in so many words that you must partake in Holy Communion in order to attain Heaven and escape perdition. Christianity is difficult to explain because, for one reason, 1 Corinthians 11. 27-29 says you drink damnation into your soul if you celebrate Holy Communion in an unworthy manner. What’s an unworthy manner and what isn’t?
George Will, in a column he wrote in 1995, gave us the following account of an abortion as witnessed by a Dayton Ohio nurse:
`The mother was six months pregnant. The baby's heartbeat was clearly visible on the ultrasound screen. The doctor went in with forceps and grabbed the baby's legs and pulled them down into the birth canal. Then he delivered the baby's body and the arms - everything but the head. The doctor kept the baby's head just inside the uterus. The baby's little fingers were clasping and unclasping, and his feet were kicking. Then the doctor stuck the scissors through the back of his head, and the baby's arms jerked out in a flinch, a startle reaction, like a baby does when he thinks that he might fall. The doctor opened up the scissors, stuck a high-powered suction tube into the opening, and sucked the baby's brains out.'
Democrats are guilty of aiding and abetting mass murder. How many infants have been tortured to death in the USA since 1973 with the blessing of the Democratic Party? 80 million? 100 million?
1 Corinthians 11. 27-29 says you drink damnation into your soul if you celebrate Holy Communion in an unworthy manner. What’s an unworthy manner and what isn’t? If you share the bread and the wine with a Democrat, an evil pro-choicer, then are you drinking damnation into your soul? If you are damned to Hell for sharing Holy Communion with a Democrat, with an evil pro-choicer, then who else must you avoid sharing Holy Communion with? Who else will drag you down to Hell if you take communion with them? What if a guy is telling evil lies about Climate Change, or what if a guy tells evil lies about the Covid vaccine being safe?
Henry Charles Lea wrote in his 'A History of the Inquisition of the Middle Ages' (Macmillan, 1922),
`We have only to look upon the atrocities of the criminal law of the Middle Ages to see how pitiless men were in dealing with each other. The wheel, the caldron of boiling oil, burning alive, burying alive, flaying alive, tearing apart with wild horses, were the ordinary expedients by which the criminal jurist sought to deter crime by frightful examples...An Anglo-Saxon law punishes a female slave convicted of theft by making eighty other female slaves each bring three pieces of wood and burn her to death....In the Customs of Arques, granted by the Abbey of St. Bertin in 1231, there is a provision that, if a thief have a concubine who is his accomplice, she is to be buried alive...In France women were customarily burned or buried ali9ve for simple felonies, and Jews were hung by the feet between two savage dogs, while men were boiled to death for coining. In Milan Italian ingenuity exhausted itself in devising deaths of lingering torture for criminals of all descriptions. The Carolina, or criminal code of Charles V., issued in 1530, is a hideous catalogue of blinding, mutilation, tearing with hot pincers, burning alive, and breaking on the wheel...As recently as 1706, in Hanover, a pastor named Zacharie Georg Flagge was burned alive for coining...So careless were the legislators of human suffering in general that, in England, to cut out a man's tongue, or to pluck out his eyes with malice prepence, was not made a felony until the fifteenth century, in a criminal law so severe that, even in the reign of Elizabeth, the robbing of a hawk's nest was similarly a felony; and as recently as 1833 a child of nine was sentenced to be hanged for breaking a patched pane of glass and stealing twopence worth of paint [this sentence was commuted]...It has seemed to me however, that a sensible increase in the severity of punishment is traceable after the thirteenth century, and I am inclined to attribute this to the influence exercised by the Inquisition over the criminal jurisprudence.'
So, it stands to reason that you are damned, you drink damnation into your soul, if you celebrate Holy Communion in any church which gives its blessing to evil laws, such as the evil laws seen above.
There’s the contention which says that despite giving its blessing to cruel laws for century after century, the Roman Catholic Church and only the Roman Catholic Church is God’s True Church. All other churches are false churches. All other churches drag souls down to eternal perdition.
There’s the contention which says that the Roman Catholic Church is a false church: Rome is a church which drags Roman Catholics down to eternal perdition. But the True Church is out there. You just have to find it.
Christianity gets rather complicated. I mean, you don’t understand the most basic things Christianity teaches if you don’t know if the Roman Catholic Church is God’s True Church which leads people to Heaven or if Rome is a false church which drags people down to eternal perdition, then you don’t understand the simplest things about Christianity.
Anyway, there are lots of easy-to-understand scriptures on Heaven and Hell.
If you say that St. Paul can’t be trusted in 1 Corinthians 11. 27-29 then you’re saying that St. Paul can’t be trusted in Acts 26. 12-18. In Acts 26. 12-18 St. Paul tells us he has been given a mission from God to turn people from the power of Satan to the power of God. If you say that Acts 26. 12-18 can’t be trusted then you’re saying that half of the New Testament can’t be trusted.
In theory Christianity is supposed to be easy for Christians to explain. In Matthew 26. 28, Jesus says, This cup is My blood of the new covenant…
Turning to Jeremiah 31. 31-34 we read that God will write His new covenant on the hearts of his people. If you have God’s new law written on your heart then you ought to be easy enough for you to explain this new law – Christianity.
Revelation 21. 8 says all liars get tossed into the lake of fire. So, Revelation 21. 8
