Author Nayoka Simone was born in Kingston, Jamaica, and she later moved to Washington, DC where she was raised. She is an award-winning interior designer of NyRai Interior Designs and has been featured on FOX 5 DC and other media outlets. I am so grateful for the lessons I have learned in life! I have learned to be grateful for those who walked away from me during difficult times, wounded my heart and left me with hurt and pain, and even those who tried to defame my name.
