    Tight Boxers - Tammy Peaches

Kevin was eighteen years old with red hair and hazel eyes. He had a lot of freckles on his face that he wished would just go away. Being under house arrest was the problem he had at the moment, but he figured it was better than jail.

Kevin was somewhat of a trouble maker and enjoyed having fun. He got caught taking a stop sign out of the ground in the middle of the night with some friends. He ended up being the only one caught doing it but didn't tell on his friends.

His mother Roberta, from whom he’d gotten his red hair and freckles, wasn’t happy with him. Sitting in the living room, she put her high heels on. She was a lawyer and needed to be in court early that morning.

You have a sitter, she told him softly, looking at her watch and seeing that the sitter should be there in a few minutes.

What are you talking about? Kevin asked her wide eyed, seeing that she wasn't kidding and getting angry with her.

Since you think it’s so fun to get into trouble over something stupid, then I feel the need to have you watched while I have to work. I think that you need one. The last thing I need is to get a call that you got picked up because you went out of the house. I can't afford more time off, Roberta explained to him.

Mom, you know that I'm not going to go anywhere. You don't need to waste your money on a sitter, he grumbled and rolled his eyes at her.

You have proved differently. You can't be alone five minutes without getting into trouble, and I'm not going to fight with you over it. Roberta shook her head at him and heard a knock at the front door.

That would be your sitter. Now be nice. She gave him a small smile as she got up from the couch and answered the door.

Good morning Roberta, a male's voice said, sounding friendly for so early in the morning.

Good morning Chuck. Glad that you were able to come over on such short notice. She smiled at him and moved out of the way so that Chuck could walk into the house.

Kevin looked over at his mother and Chuck, their next door neighbor. Chuck had black hair and dark brown eyes. He wore glasses. Wearing jogging pants and a white shirt with white sneakers, Kevin thought he looked like a geek.

Mom, Kevin whispered to her when she went back over to him and kissed him on the forehead before picking up her briefcase on the floor beside him.

I don't want to hear it, Kevin. You got yourself into this. You are lucky that you didn't end up in jail. She glared at him. If it weren't for her being a lawyer and the judge knowing her, he would have been behind bars for a month instead of in the house for a month.

Kevin gave a heavy sigh and a dirty look to his mother, who walked away from him and went out the door, closing it behind her.

Well, what are we going to do today? Chuck asked him with a smile on his face. Chuck was twenty-two and didn't really know what to do. He never thought that when Roberta asked him to do her a favor it would be babysitting a young adult.

Nothing. We don't have to do anything. You can go home, and we can just tell my mother everything went smoothly when she gets home. All you have to do is come back over like a half hour before she gets home, Kevin smirked at him, throwing his head back against the couch cushions and turning the television on to the news station.

You know I can't do that, Kevin. If you end up going outside the house and your mother gets called, I'm in trouble with her. You know that, Chuck muttered, shaking his head at him and thinking how stupid it was to try and steal a stop sign anyways. He wondered how bored Kevin had been to do such a thing.

Can't blame me for trying, Kevin sighed as Chuck walked over to the couch and sat down beside him.

The news is good for starters, I suppose, Chuck grinned, watching the television as he relaxed his back
