Introduction
Words are the tools that authors use to pass on their message and project their emotions unto the readers. Words are also vital to an to capture a reader’s attention and keep an audience glued to the very last page.
Reading words that are repeated can get really boring and generic and most of the time can become frustrating for both the writer and the reader.
Reading a novel and seeing the words fear
, see
, and looked
repeated frequently without any inflection can make a reader flip to the last page to see what finally happened.
A certain time, not long ago, I remember reading a novel I retrieved from a friend's bookshelf. Hard as I tried, I couldn't see beyond the repeated if
, angry
, love
, and looked.
The novel seemed as if everyone had something to look at, and they looked!
Honestly, it didn't take up to five minutes before I returned the book to its shelf, reached for my phone, and flicked through old Facebook posts. Though my friend told me that the novel was, 'good stuff', but because of the repeated words, I couldn't get there. Repeating words can make me leave a book that fast.
Let's say the author of the novel I read, replaced some look
, with regarded wearily, eyed, peeked, gimleted, eye balled, stared, etc., no way was I going to ever leave that novel, except for a raspberry, ice cream and popcorn.
Words, when intermixed, give rise to a certain degree of emotions, nevertheless when repeated over, and over again, words can practically drill that boring emotion into the subconscious of the reader.
Good authors, best-selling and award-winning authors sprinkle their writings with diligently selected words that are laced with sensitive details, that draw a reader’s attention from one emotion to another, skillfully as possible, without a break or gap in the emotion train. This is like giving the readers a personified punch in the punim.
So, you want to give your readers a punch? Yes!? Then this Ebook is specially designed for you. It will help you prevent your well-crafted grammatically correct sentence from appearing like dead fish.
This Ebook will not only help you in your novels, fiction, etc., but it also goes beyond that. Emails, blog posts, sales copy, proposals (professional and academic) and resumes are all designed to influence the reader. This Ebook will go a long way in helping your everyday writing, as it not only
