About the Author
Chapter 1
The sky was bluer than any Corilan had ever seen or imagined. She’d been staring up at it for so long she could feel the strain in her neck. This was her break time from one of their newly established Health & Healing locations, and she was taking in the natural view—something she did every afternoon. She sensed more than saw Suzanne standing nearby.
Now that we can see Earth’s true natural beauty, it’s incredible to think about how complacent we were, isn’t it?
I’ll say, and if we can keep going full speed with our world-building, we’ll have a beautiful natural world.
She nodded. It was year one on Organic Earth and she was still in awe, pondering how quickly all of the project resources had taken on the work of setting up the basic shelters. They had immediately gotten everyone dried-in during the first few months after leaving the Ephemeral Passage, a short term detour before coming to OE.
On reflection, her life seemed more like fiction than reality. A little over seven years ago, she and the rest of the people here had lived on legacy Earth, a dying planet, without any means of stopping the devastation. Yet when her father, Nolan, returned after twenty years of being absent from her life, he told her about her legacy in the School of Ancestral Guidance organization. From that spark her decisions forward had brought her and everyone else here to rejuvenated Earth.
Guess we need to check the urgent list for any new listings.
She couldn’t travel worldwide with the speed needed for life-threatening situations, so the Lumenians had stepped up. Every settlement on OE had access to Lumenian medical support. She only received a notice if there were patients where nothing else could be done. Incredible as they were, her healing powers were rarely required.
Back inside H&H, she was now comfortable with the mash-up of tied tree limbs inside canvas-like walls, the straw thatched roof, and woven grassmat flooring. She checked the com-screen’s postings and was relieved no one was seriously hurt. No names. Thank goodness.
.
So, have the people finally stopped advising you about your engagement to Prime Earthos?
Suzanne said. It’s pretty close now.
