WHY I WROTE THIS...

This book was written due to a prophetic dream I had from God where the Holy Spirit shared a deep night parable with me on this book. The dream was that an old friend who I had not seen in years reached out to me in a text saying I am praying the Songs of Songs over your life Phillip after I had texted her how sorry I was that I hurt them and their sister (who I dated for a brief moment in time). What’s interesting is this woman has two names because she is an Asian eastern orthodox woman living in the very western world of Australia. I won’t give you her real name, instead, I’ll give you her western name which is Angelina. 

Why am I sharing about the key elements of my dream? Simple. Recording one's prophetic dream is actually quite biblical. Most Pastors who believe in the prophetic of certain dreams teach from Habakkuk about how we must record the parable in which the Holy Spirit teaches intimate teaching to our personal life and after we record this dream, we pray for its interpretation with fasting and prayer.  Now, here’s the thing. God’s not an on the command genie that answers our prayers when we desire, God answers them when the time is perfect. 

What do I mean?

It can take years for a prophetic word from the LORD come to pass. One prophetic word I received from God was about my friend Brendon Cali Corey and how both He and I would develop a deep spiritual relationship where we would be like as iron sharpens iron, so shall another man sharpen another man. Which if you ever read the book of Proverbs in the bible, then you know I just quoted Proverbs 27:17. So, for a week after having this dream about Cory, I was super excited. I was like, Yes this is going to be so awesome! And then a month hit and bam, nothing happened. It wasn’t until a full year and a half later that I was able to develop this relationship with Cory. 

I would share this blog with Corey that I wrote, which was me taking a bible verse every week and teaching people how to apply it to there life. Very simple. Nothing special. But, it was through this very simple act that Cory and I began to sharpen each other in amazing ways. I would write a blog post needed to boost his spirits and in return, he would do something for me, that humbled me greatly. Corey shared the excitement on how God had answered his prayers and it was proof God was listening to him. This warmed my heart greatly. 

THE REASON WHY THIS impacted me so much at the time is that I have been praying and fasting for my ex (Angelina’s sister) to get saved and live for the LORD and I needed encouragement that God was still hearing my prayers.  So God used my friend to show me he still answers prayers but, according to his perfect timing. (More on this later).  So, this book is being written out of a prophetic dream that inspired biblical teaching on the prophetic words of King Solomon written in the book of Song of Songs or also translated as Songs of Solomon.
