HORSEPLAY
You’re sure about this?
Attila’s even voice was as cool as the almost nippy air of early spring. He was leaning against the edge of the large sliding door of the barn, dressed in white riding breeches and tan riding boots and a black silk shirt.
Yeah.
Kai didn’t hesitate.
He was done hesitating.
He couldn’t get the image of Attila with his whip out of his mind. His gentle and kind partner. Always considerate. Well-spoken and educated. The frosty air Attila exuded in public was there solely for Attila’s protection – Attila liked people, he just needed his distance to function. He had cultivated his aloof and unapproachable quality as a form of emotional self-defense. Not all highly-functioning autistic men had made it as far as he had in life, and not many were in a thriving relationship.
To be fair, Attila used to wear a dom facade for a few years just to keep his social interaction tightly structured, his sexual partners at a distance, and his needs met. That had ended with a bad relationship, after which had come a dry spell crowded with work and worries.
Then Kai had stolen Attila’s cell phone, Attila had texted him, and...
You’re quite sure?
Attila persisted. It was unlike him to repeat himself.
Yeah,
