The holiday season , that short time of year when everyone was cheerful and happy. Michael’s Facebook wall was covered in pictures of his friends and their wives in cute matching outfits. Christmas carols were playing on every radio station.

He hated it.

Okay, that’s not true.

He used to be one of them until Stacy ripped out his heart. She was the one... they were getting married Christmas day last year. Two weeks before the big day she said she had met someone else and couldn’t marry him. He hadn’t seen her since; he hadn’t really seen anyone since. He was mortified. He had become a bit of a shut-in.

He thanked God every day for his brother Shawn and his wife, Lisa. They took care of canceling the wedding so he didn’t have to deal with any of it. They even went to his apartment while he was at work one day and sanitized it of anything Stacy. Michael was pissed at first because he wanted to wallow in his pain for a while. It didn’t take him long to realize it was for the best that they got rid of everything.

It had been a year since she left him and nothing had changed. He was miserable without her. Shawn and Lisa were tired of him sitting home every night, so they invited themselves over for pizza. They sat around talking about nothing for an hour when Lisa pulled out an envelope.

He looked up at them with one eyebrow raised waiting for them to say something. They both sat there with stupid grins on their faces. Care to explain what a Wicked Wonderland is?

Friday night he got a call from the tux shop confirming his appointment for the next day. He had forgotten about the entire thing. He dug the envelope from under the piles of papers on his desk and with resignation decided to see what he’d been signed up for.

The sparsely worded invitation was the only thing in the envelope. Seriously...no other details? He pinned it to the cork board above his monitor. Time to turn to his trusted friend, the internet; he searched ‘Wicked Wonderland Retreat December 2014’. The first result had promise, so he clicked on it. A website with a burgundy background and a single word in black script appeared:  Password

How mysterious. He stared at the blinking cursor for a minute trying to figure out what it could be. He tried his name a few different ways to no avail. Frustrated, he stood up to get his cell to call Shawn. The invitation caught his eye, and he noticed the guest code in small print at the bottom.

Excited to have a lead he sat back down and typed in R1981. The screen shifted, and a beautiful woman dressed as a naughty elf walked seductively on to the screen.

In a smooth, sultry voice, she addressed him. Hello Michael, my name is Brandi. I’m so glad you are attending our Wicked Wonderland Retreat this year.

She snapped her fingers again, and her outfit changed to a leather corset with a garter belt attached to thigh high pantyhose and four-inch stilettos. Your evenings will be filled with all sorts of naughty reindeer games. When you arrive, you will meet your personal hostess for the weekend. She will give you the itinerary and explain everything in more detail.

The screen shifted again, and she was back in her elf costume.
