Three Times the Love - Jodi Olson

    Prologue

She knew she wanted to be with him, from the first day she spied him from her perch high above in the tree...

    ––––––––

Thirteen year old Barb ‘Bobbie’ McDaniel often spent time in the big old oak tree, in the back yard of the neighboring ranch, which also faced a small river. She didn’t realize the ranch was no longer vacant until one morning she saw a woman—and boy move in. Thinking it was still okay to climb the tree, she did. Since Bobbie was an only child and having few friends around she had to do something, so she took up spying on the cute boy whose name was Clint.

She’d been sitting in the tree one day when Clint came out of the house and walked to the edge of the river. He started throwing rocks into the water. His back was to her and she wondered if he saw her.

I can throw better than you can! She said while climbing down.

Bobbie? Where did you come from?

Didn’t you see me up in the tree?

No! Were you spying on me? Clint continued throwing rocks.

Maybe, it’s not like I had anything else to do, she shrugged.

After that day Bobbie and Clint started hanging out together and quickly became good friends: both liked fly-fishing, throwing rocks and climbing trees, among other things that normally girls weren’t supposed to be interested in.

Bobbie often invited Clint over for dinner, but most times he’d refuse, making one excuse one after another. When she turned fifteen, Bobbie thought she’d try one last time to have him over for dinner with her family, and asked him what were his favorite dishes. Finally Clint said ‘yes’ he wanted to have dinner with her and his favorite meal was meatloaf and ‘mashed taters’.

Alone at the dinner table Bobbie grabbed Clint by the collar and kissed him on the lips. After that kiss she knew she was in love with him and they were meant to be together, and maybe one day they’d get married, but Clint still treated her like one of the guys.

On her sixteenth birthday Clint asked Bobbie to the movies. Finally he noticed me!  She hated wearing dresses, but in order to get Clint’s attention off of Mary Jane ‘Big Breasts’ Nelson, she dumped the bib overalls she normally wore into the trash. Something must have worked because soon they were a couple and no one else came between them again.

    *****

The night of high school graduation, Bobbie and Clint went to the lake so they could be alone. They talked for a while, until Clint finally pulled her to the grass and kissed her.  I need you Bobbie. He kissed her velvet lips, wanting her to see they belonged together.

Bobbie moaned as his hands slid up, touching her everywhere, lingering over her breasts and their puckered tips, then one hand moving down toward her aroused sex. She moved against his hand. Desire flared between her thighs. Bobbie loved Clint and she wanted him to make love to her.

Clint had her panties off and her dress pushed up past her breasts, then quickly shed his jeans. He kissed her again, tongues teasing, as he drew back to gaze at her, his dark eyes flaming with hunger. You’re beautiful. He stroked her breasts, then took them in his hands and kissed them, tasted the hard nipples, nipping them with his teeth.

    Clint, she whispered.

Clint stretched beside her and Bobbie felt shy watching him and looked the other way. Bobbie never felt so exposed and she was glad that Clint couldn’t see how nervous she was.

Clint’s gaze rested on her nest of dark curls, and he itched to taste her. He gently slipped his hand between her thighs to spread her glistening pussy lips for a better view, and bent his head to finally kiss her there.

He slipped a finger inside her, stroking her slowly. Every part of her felt on fire. Suddenly he stopped and rolled on top of her, supporting his weight on his arms, positioning himself between her parted thighs. She felt the rapid beating of his heart and heard his heavy breathing as he entered her.

Put your legs around my waist, he urged.

She felt the tip of his hard cock nudge at her moist entrance, and then he made a firm, insistent push.

Are you okay? Clint’s voice was raspy.

    Yes, don’t stop, she whispered.

He eased into her, filling her; and began a gentle rhythm of slow, controlled thrusting. She clung to his body, arching and giving her all.

Clint moved inside her faster and faster, until she shattered in a blissful release. Groaning Clint followed in his own release.

    I love you, Clint.

He rolled off her and turned on his side. I think it’s time to get you home Bobbie, I don’t want your father finding us here...like this.

    *****

Bobbie paced the porch for Clint to show up, he’s late. They had plans to meet some friends for breakfast who were leaving town soon to start college.

She watched as Clint’s truck pulled up the gravel driveway in front of the house and she ran over to greet him. Bobbie threw her arms around his neck as soon as he stepped out of the truck. You’re late.

I know, Clint kissed her cheek. Let’s get going okay?

Bobbie waited inside the cab of the truck for Clint when she noticed his cell phone on the seat. It was ringing. Should I answer it?  Picking it up, she recognized the number. It was Mary Jane ‘Big Boobs’ Nelson. Why would she be calling him? Has he been fucking her all this time behind my back?

When Clint got in the truck she glared at him. Why’s Mary Jane calling you?

What are you talking about? I haven’t talked to her in months.

    You’re just screwing her then?

No, Bobbie, I don’t know where you’re getting that idea from but you’re wrong.

She just called, so don’t deny it. As soon as she said that his cell phone rang again. Better not keep her waiting. Bobbie threw the cell phone at him got out of the truck.

She was about to enter the house when she heard Clint call for her.

That call was from my mother, wanting me to get home. My Uncle Ted is sick and wants me to help run his ranch until he is better. Mom is packing now.

So when will you be back?

A few weeks maybe more, he’s really in bad shape.

    Take me with you, Clint.

Can’t do that Bobbie, I’m sorry but I really need to go.

"You’re taking Mary Jane with you?"

Damn it! Stop it, will you. No...I’m not taking her with me. I’ll call you when I get there okay? Then he was gone.

    *****

Two months later Bobbie found out she was pregnant with Clint’s baby. She had no way of telling him since he never answered his cell and he never did call her like he promised.  In her third month, Bobbie lost the baby.

    Seven Years Later

    ––––––––

    Chapter One

    ––––––––

Twenty-five year old Clint Ericson left Big Timber Montana at the age of eighteen with big dreams. If he proved to his Uncle Ted that he could run the thousand- acre ranch in Utah, it would become his. But that didn’t happen. Instead, some cousin of his he never heard of inherited the cattle ranch worth millions on today’s market.

Uncle Ted not only didn’t leave him the ranch, he didn’t leave any money to him either. All those years breaking his back, busting his ass, wasted when he could’ve stayed in Montana, and gotten married to Bobbie and would have a kid or two by now. Would she even want to see me after what I’ve done? There was no excuse why he didn’t call her, except one: his uncle.

Now he needed a job and no one seemed to be looking for a ranch hand. Clint went looking for any kind of work to get by, and really preferred working on a ranch in Montana. But it seemed no one was hiring, not even the feed store. The only place left was Bobbie’s Dude Ranch.

Clint took off his hat and ran his long, lean fingers through his hair. Ringing the doorbell he stood there waiting for Bobbie to open the door, but it was a man who stood there. Is he her husband or lover? The man was a few inches taller than Clint and probably a few years older too.

All his life he never thought he’d say a man was hot looking, but this guy was something. He couldn’t help looking him over; the stranger didn’t have a shirt on and his jeans were low on his hips. Clint was getting hard just by looking.

Can I help you, or are you just going to stand there all day? The man looked a little annoyed.

Sorry, my name is Clint Ericson he tried to glance passed the man and into the house, I’m looking for Bobbie. Is she here?

No she’s at the lake fishing, needed a break before the guests start arriving tomorrow.

Do you know if she hiring any more wranglers?

I don’t think she is right now but I’ll tell her you’re looking for work. How should she contact you if there is a job? I’m her head wrangler, by the way. The man extended a brawny hand, Devlin Lyons.

I just got into town this morning so really don’t have a place to stay yet. I’ll come back in the evening if that is okay? Clint shook his hand and headed for the lake.

    That should be fine.

    *****

At first, Clint didn’t recognize Bobbie, until someone called out to her. She stood near the edge of the water skipping rocks. Bobbie had grown up; the bikini top she had on showed off a flower tattoo that ran over the left side of her back. How long has she had that and how far does it go? He wanted to strip off her barely-there shorts to find out.

As he came up behind her his hand reached out to touch her shoulder, but then he put it down. Hello, Bobbie. How was the fishing today?

When she turned around he about lost it, she was more beautiful than he remembered. He couldn’t see any part of that girl he left behind; she was now a sexy woman. His eyes roamed over her body stopping at her breast, he could see her nipples were straining against the tiny material.

Clint? What the hell are you doing here?

I came to see you darlin’. His hand brushed the side her cheek. It’s been a long time. I’ve missed you.

"Well... I don’t want to see you and I was just leaving. I do have one question though, did you forget how to use the phone seven years ago?"

He watched as she put on her cowboy boots, picked up the fishing rod and basket, and then walked away without glancing back once.

Clint ran after her, grabbing her arm. Wait a minute; I’m sorry I didn’t call you like I said I would. Can’t we at least start over?

"It doesn’t matter anymore. A lot has happened since you left and I’ve moved on. I now run a very successful dude ranch and it keeps me quit busy.
