G M Sherwin was born and raised in a small village in West Yorkshire and still lives in the north of England with his wife, 3 children and 2 cats, Milo and Bumble. He has spent much of his working life in management for various industries, mainly in the manufacturing and distribution sectors. He wasn’t greatly academic while younger, with the exception of enjoying English, but it was while at school that he penned his first short story which gave him a taste for writing. And it was a love of the Albert Einstein quote, ‘there comes a point in your life when you have to stop reading other people books and write your own’ which spurred him on to write his first book Immortalis. In the future, he hopes to go on to write many more books and that he will be able to entertain a large following of readers with them. When he isn’t working G M Sherwin enjoys spending time with his young family. And if he gets any time to himself he likes to relax with a good book and a glass of red wine. About the Author

Chapter One
‘I’M TELLING YOU, IT’S not on the damn map!’
Blake’s hand gripped the steering wheel as the engine idled at a standstill. Do we go left or right and where the fuck are we? His navigator was getting agitated by the second. But she was too damned beautiful to stay mad at even if she was bloody useless at map reading.
‘Well, we are somewhere and that’s definitely a village even if you can’t see it on a map. Look we need to set up camp and soon or the night will be upon us before we know it and I really don’t fancy setting up in the dark.’ Blake retorted trying to keep his temper in check.
‘Let’s stop for an hour stretch our legs and have a nosey round, what ya think?’ Christine said trying to keep Blake calm.
Switching the engine off Blake looked sideways at his navigator. ‘Sounds like a plan, but only for an hour.’
Smiling back at him ‘Of course.’ She replied whisky removing her seat belt and stretching.
‘Shall we grab a bite to eat from the local over there?’ Indicating to a cosy public house no more than a hundred feet away from where they parked.
‘Let’s, I’m starving.’
Both exited the car closing the doors behind them, looking around Blake noticed the lack of other cars around the village. In fact there were none. No street signs either that he could make out.
‘Hey daydreamer! I’m starving here, what’s got your attention anyway?’
He pointed around. ‘Not one single car or sign or anything. Don’t you find that odd?’
She looked
