About this ebook
It wasn ́t once upon a time. Exactly, it was the year 2060. After the third world war, the President of the European Union is elected World President, establishing a dictatorship. Among its first measures are:
1. The promulgation of the universal constitution.
2. The control of the food and medicines production system.
3. The elimination of intellectual property rights.
4. The intervention of financial markets.
5. The dissolution of the global institutions (the United Nations, the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank).
Although, a rebel group, called Liberation, with clandestine operations in several regions, starts a guerrilla war against the authoritarian government. However, due to his economic achievements and exceptional popularity, the President of the Earth is re-elected for a second (2072) and third period (2084).
Five years later, the world population exceeds 12 billion people. Nonetheless, arises a serious economic crisis, unprecedented in human history. Surprisingly, the production of food, medicines, raw materials and hydrocarbons, falls to critical levels.
This recession strengthened Liberation, propitiated the outbreak of the fourth world war and determined the end of the global empire.
In 2228, dissident scientists analyze the causes of the massive economic crisis and reach an agreement with Liberation leaders to travel through time and make modifications to history, avoiding: a) the establishment of a global dictatorial rule, b) the existence of the last two world wars, and c) the economic-financial collapse of the 21st century.
On the one hand, the Liberation directors aspire to change people's beliefs, but, on the other hand, the dissident scientists refuse to act this way, due to ethical reasons. However, they hope that liberties and human rights will never be subordinated to collective welfare...

I. THE NEW AGE OF PROGRESS AND WELFARE
It was the year 2060. The third world war had ended. Some countries disappeared, becoming fragmented into multiple small and anarchic states. After his pyrrhic victory in this huge military confrontation, Rovich Tradhitorez, President of the European Union, convinced the few legitimate presidents that remained in the United Nations Assembly to approve his ambitious global project of territorial, political, social, economic, commercial and cultural integration.
On February 29, 2060, the United Nations granted extraordinary powers to the President of the European Union, who was pleased to support: the relativization of moral values and the postmodern anti-religious ethics. Also, he accepted the diffuse foundations of the new age ideology.
Although, his ideas weren´t well received by various world leaders. The last part of his speech was sharply criticized by the rulers of influential countries.
The President of the European Union stated:
A new age of progress and welfare begins, which will be based on technological progress, uniqueness, a world government, an universal constitution, a single currency and a single social class. Of course, individual rights will be subordinated to collective welfare.
Who, several decades ago, was known as the defender of freedom and human rights, proclaimed himself as the guarantor of collective human rights, recognizing that perhaps the global government could work from a more authoritarian and communitarian point of view.
People ignored the protests of the rulers and prominent leaders against the President. Even more, apathy and
