CHAPTER ONE
Thomas perspired profusely as he was walking home. "My God, how will I survive these predicaments? If you will not consider my supplication, maybe for something I have done wrong to offend you, won’t you consider my innocent child? My wife has been breastfeeding him on an empty stomach and her strength is fading away. I will sin if I say I have completely lost hope. I beg you oh God to give me an opportunity of just a meal; no matter the quality, I don’t care what it is, but I humbly desire that my wife should just eat something in order to have the strength to breastfeed my baby. As a mother’s love for her child is immeasurable, she can’t endure seeing the baby starve even though her stomach is empty. How can a woman survive breastfeeding a baby for a whole day without eating anything? Father Lord, I sincerely appreciate you for giving us water to drink because there are some who don’t have water, to begin with, but in your mercy, I implore you, my God, to provide something substantial for me, for the sake of my wife; even though I may be left out, I will be grateful if what you will provide will be sufficient for my wife to enable her to continue to breastfeed
