About the author
Roberto Torres , (M. S. Ed-YMHFA ) is an author, case planner, and hip-hop artist known as Sabor Latino. Roberto has been writing poetry and music since he was a young man. Roberto has been able to prove to so many people around the world, that he was born to be a writer. Roberto autobiography" My Life : SAbor Latino" in which was released on December 15, 2015 , has made a tremendous impact on the ones who have taken their time and read the book. Roberto second book, " Sabor Latino: Mis grandes canciones y poemas " (My greatest poems and songs (2017) the book was written in Spanish. The response I received from the book has been very inspiring and touching. I truly appreciate the love and support. This type of action from my supporters is what keeps me motivated to continue to write more books.
Roberto third book titled "125 quotes gathered from my life observations" (2018) is also a special book. The book has 125 inspirational quotes and five small chapters. Each chapter has different information on the importance of staying motivated in life and never giving up. Lastly, the book has words of inspiration titled You are not alone in this world
First, you must visualize in your mind how you want things to turn out. Second, you must create a strategic plan for success. Lastly, must execute the plan with a purpose. For example, act like this is the last time you are picking up the pen to express your revelations. Keep in mind that everyone has a special story to tell. If you are person that loves to write like I do, then begin to do so. Many individuals in the world need positive motivation. In this world we live in, there is so much false information and negative energy. With your positive revelations, the youth of today will have another positive direction they can choose that will inspire them to reach their top potential.
Finally, I’m confident that my new book (fourth) titled "My Alma mater Lehman College "is going to motivate any individual that has dreams to go to college. I decided to write my new book, so student who are thinking of going to graduate school can have hands on a blueprint with a story that is full of motivation. I will say that graduate school is very challenging, and it takes a lot of time from anyone who wants to earn a master’s degree in education. With all no matter how hard anything in life is if you put your mind to it, you can accomplish anything. Stay positive and continue to dream. Your dedication will determine your future.
Chapter 1:
Entering Lehman College
I remember graduating from U.S career institute on January 2008 , with a certificate in Personal trainer and nutritional specialist. I applied to a local gym and eventually got hired. The training manager was a great guy. He would teach me different styles of training depending on the client’s medical diagnosis. Over a six-month period of individual training with him, I became prepared for the big leagues. I was dealing with more than twenty clients who were of Latino descent. It was a pleasure to have learned so much from the gym. This experience is what got me motivated to pursue my graduate school education. I wanted to study the field of recreation education, as I knew one day I wanted to teach as a college professor, a gym teacher, or get involved in child welfare as a counselor or case planner. I decided to attend Lehman College, who has a great Master of Science degree (M. S. Ed) in recreation-education with a specialization in administration. Getting accepted to enter Lehman College was a big challenge as well. I wrote a five-hundred-page writing essay and I had to have a 3.0 (GPA) average in under grad school. I was fortunate to have a 3.2 GPA, in which I qualified to apply. A few weeks later, I received a letter over the mail in which stated, Roberto Torres, Congratulations, you have been accepted to the Lehman College (M. S. Ed) graduate program
. I was so excited, in which
