About this ebook
Tom Bracks is a product of the CIA. Seriously injured in a motor accident, his body intact but his brain severely damaged, he was reliant upon life support to keep him alive. With no living family he became an ideal target for the CIA to repair his brain functions with their latest scientific development - a microchip that compensates for his damaged brain cells. He is programmed to do as they say, kept alive as a walking robot.
Relations between Russia and the USA have heightened, and Tom has been used as a political football with both powers keen to gain his control. In the debut book in this series Tom's micro-chip was reprogrammed and there was a battle against time to find out who reprogrammed him and why? In this the fourth book in the series there is an emergence of 'super humans' in and around Washington DC. People who like Tom have been seriously injured in accidents. There is a wave of doctors referring patients to a mysterious Dr. Jones, and seemingly a link between Tom being attacked by super humans and his home ransacked. Who is Dr. Jones and why does he have an interest in Tom? This short read will have readers on edge until the end as the story twists and turns and reaches an intriguing and action packed finale.
From the debut #1 Best seller on with After Dark 'The Story Begins' comes another exciting and adventure packed series that is as exciting from Chapter 1 as it is until the end.

Chapter 1
‘Good night Bill. Thanks for your company and the invite,’ Tom Bracks shakes his good friend Bill Dufore’s hand before turning and heading towards the underground carpark to collect his car. The two have just enjoyed a meal in their favourite local Thai restaurant – The Thai Thai, a catch up that occurs regularly between the two.
‘Good night Tom. See you early tomorrow morning,’ Bill replies.
Tom walks down the carpark ramp and notices that the walkway is unusually dark. He has parked his BMW in the carpark many times and is familiar with the area. He dismisses the lack of lighting as simply a blown globe or two in the fluorescent lights and continues walking to his car.
Whack.
Tom is hit from behind and soon realises that there are three men who have confronted him and emerged from the shadows. He can barely see an outline of their faces, and again feels the impact as another man lands a blow to his back which causes him to slump to the ground.
Whack.
Another hit to his back as he attempts to get up to confront his attackers.
‘What do you want?’ He shouts as he braces himself and blocks another blow as the cowardly men take turns attacking him as the others stand back.
‘What do you want?’
There is no answer as another man steps forward and prepares to punch Tom as he stands front on to the group.
Whack. Whack.
There are several blows to the body as Tom holds off the assailants as best he can. He delivers some punishing blows in retaliation which seems to have the group on guard. He notices that one attacks him and the others seem to guard waiting an opportunity to land a cheap blow in turn. Tom is confused. He doesn’t think that the group is
