Introduction
According to the Oxford English dictionary the meaning of ‘safety’ is the condition of being protected from unlikely factors that may cause danger, risk, or injury.
Safety at home (indoor and outdoor) aims at reducing risks which may cause serious injury. It is our intention to protect our family and ourselves from hazard and risk or injury. Serious injury could happen anywhere you are present if you are not careful. So it is wise to look at safety as a whole. It is the objective of this book to reduce or eliminate risk at home whether indoor or outdoor.
Tips will be given to reduce or eliminate the risks associated. Accidents anywhere can be controlled if you take positive steps to avoid the accidents from happening. You can prevent the accident from happening if you are aware of the safety principles. Safety awareness is important and if you stick by the safety tips given in this book you can avoid accidents from happening.
This book serves as a guide to you who might not be aware of hazards which might be presents anywhere you are at. It serves as safety awareness information. By identifying hazards you should know how to tackle the risks that come with it. It is meant for the book for easy reading and not burdens you with terms which are complex. For more in depth study on safety you should consult safety consultants and organizations which focus on safety.
The arrangement of this book is easy to follow. Safety tips will be given in each section. This book is divided into three sections. Section I deals solely on safety at home.
