About this ebook

Too sexy to resist?

Danielle Andrews was supposed to be on her honeymoon. Instead, she's back on Discovery Island licking her wounds and running for shelter when she sees Daeg Ross coming her way. Years ago, on this very beach, Dani started something with the special ops aviation rescue swimmer. But she refuses to be tempted by the wickedly hot military hunk again.

Daeg Ross is used to jumping into treacherous waters. But his feelings for relationship–shy Dani are a whole new type of risk. They are volatile–and irresistible. When their lives are threatened by the invading winds and endless rain of a tropical storm, Daeg and Dani are forced to take shelter and ride out a wild night. Together, will they sink…or swim?

    Read to the boyfriend.

Grey knows a lot about hurricanes. He's interested in them and likes to learn more about them. So we found this book at the store and couldn't resist getting it. A book that involved a hurricane? Of course we're going to try it.

Except this hurricane was unbelievable to me and I don't know anything about hurricanes. A. There has NEVER been a hurricane to hit California. B. If you know there is going to be a hurricane, I suggest YOU EVACUATE BEFORE THE DAY IT'S SUPPOSED TO HIT.

Which reminds me: the MC was seriously so obnoxiously dense.
    1. She didn't evacuate until the day the storm him.
    2. Then she tried to drive IN THE HURRICANE
    3. The eye of the storm was literally over here and she's like "ha ha yeah I guess this is a little bad"
    4. She is an actuary, meaning she does stuff with numbers and probabilities or something like that. Well, she used those ""skills"" for everything.
Example: If Daeg is going to seduce me, what will he do? And how will I react? What is the probability of him trying to do this to me?
Seriously, it was so weird and annoying.

I don't really want to categorize this as insta-love because it's a romance book so that's prerequisite but it was kinda weird how fast they went from "I just wanna sex you up" to "omg I love you so much"

Okay but the hurricane part of this book was just so bad and it's obvious there wasn't much research done. Want to write about a hurricane? Call up Nicholas Sparks. He writes all of his books based in places that get hit by hurricanes all the time it seems like. No hurricane is going to hit California any time soon.

I knocked off .5 stars just because Dani ALWAYS called him "Daeg Ross" as if he didn't have a last name and Ross was just part of his first name. That got annoying within the first twenty pages.

Me: Grey, would you like to say any thoughts on the book?
Grey: I have no thoughts other than it was stupid. There have been no hurricanes to ever hit California.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that can get past this. Maybe the next book will be better.
