Foreword
Intelligence is the capability to fix problems. Paradoxically has our inability to adapt: saved humanity; by preventing us doing too much damage? So, tyrants have come and gone, leaving others to pick up the pieces. In the face of Ind Rev4, this book will explain what and how to adapt.
Humans are beautifully imperfect. Since Socrates, human survival and effectiveness remain highly reliant on our local relationships and our unique ability to collaborate with millions of others. Ind Rev4 however brings exponential speed, disruption and uncertainty. Even at tech’s infancy: we can’t cope with these inputs. So, I will explain how this tech environment causes us to malfunction en masse, how the associated fear keeps us hooked and undermines our rational decision making.

How well are we prepared to adapt? In the main, education focuses on developing self-reliance. Even the best MBA programs have negligible impact on the simplest behaviour change. So, if our behaviour is so difficult to change, will our actions ever change in the face of this exponential challenge?
My observation of the situation and responses is that we are unknowingly being steam rolled by this new wave of change. Many of us are completely unaware of the dangers we face? This book highlights: some of these flaws; how we can increase our intelligence; the means to stay ahead, how to become aware of how we are being manipulated, how this impacts us and how to address this. The solution is neither obvious nor complex.
With Artificial intelligence we have a new competitor and challenge that did not exist before. It is now important to know ourselves better than the computers know us. With the internet of things, we are already part of the tech matrix and our behaviours are known and being manipulated by technology. So, if we lose this race we could unknowingly lose our freewill.
In addition, there are some macro-economic factors and threats such as concentration of wealth and job losses and systemic falling profits that won’t go away. Tech and digital giants
