    Sage Stance - John English

    Introduction

Now that you are reading the Sage Stance, you are well on your way to eliminating stress and anxiety while bringing a higher clarity of awareness into all of your relationships. You have taken the first step to use a simple, yet powerful, technique that will enable you to easily access greater creativity at home, work, and in all your endeavors.

Perhaps the best way for you to understand how the Sage Stance will impact your life is to hear a story about how someone used it in a real life stressful situation. Here is one of our students explaining how he experienced this powerful technique.

"I was one of the early adopters of the Sage Stance technique created by John English and Beth Goldstein. I have found it to be a valuable tool for reducing stress and optimizing my performance. I particularly found it helpful while running for one of the top political offices in a large state.

While campaigning for office, my schedule can be extremely challenging. In addition to public appearances and speeches, I have to oversee the entire campaign with my campaign manager. Every day, I am making decisions and appearances that could determine the outcome of the race. I have used the Sage Stance on numerous occasions and it works every time, but one time, in particular, stands out.

My party was having a rally for all of the statewide candidates to meet with their supporters to officially start the general election. The venue was crowded and representatives from the press were there to cover the event for the major networks in our state. I was scheduled for a certain time slot to give my prepared speech. One of the candidates was late to the event so I was asked to go on earlier.

The venue was dimly lit so on the way to the podium, I shrugged and I looked at my campaign manager and handed him my prepared speech because I knew I wouldn’t be able to see it. I used the Sage Stance anchor and I immediately felt the calm presence of my Inner Sage come over me.

I gave an impassioned speech that was right on point. I was confidant, clear, and full of passion about where I wanted to take this office for the people of my state. I didn’t miss a beat. The next day, the press reported that my speech, along with one of the other candidates, was the best of the evening.

I continue to this day to use the Sage Stance to access the wisdom and power of my Inner Sage. The results are cumulative. The technique becomes more powerful each time you use it. So use it. You’ll be glad you did."

This short story is heartfelt because it illustrates exactly why we put together everything that makes up the Sage Stance. We want people to be able to achieve optimum performance in stressful situations & all areas of their lives. The Sage Stance is a culmination of ancient wisdom from many traditions. This is the first time that this information has been put together. And that’s what makes the Sage Stance unique. By simply learning and using the Sage Stance, you will have simultaneous access to three centering states; safety, unconditional love, and confidence. By going through our simple yet profound process, you will anchor all three of these states for instant, on demand, use throughout your day.

    Let’s Begin—The Sage Stance

Picture your life if you had a tool, a way to consistently cut through the stress and anxiety of any moment and access your highest level of wisdom AND apply that wisdom with clarity in the moment. This is exactly what you will be able to do, and so much more, with the Sage Stance.

The Sage Stance uses guided meditation and is made up of a unique combination of ancient wisdom, hypnosis, and Neuro Linguistic Programming. When people hear the word meditation, many different ideas come to mind, because there are many different types of meditations.

We want to make clear here, that the Sage Stance is not just another meditation. It is a technique to shift your perception in any moment to a level of awareness where you can use your innate wisdom, intuition, and the power of your Higher Self. What’s different about the Sage Stance is that, you don’t have to be in a meditative state to use the technique. You will be able to apply the Sage Stance in your daily life after the very first time you have gone through the guided meditation. Basically, once you have learned the Sage Stance, you will be able to use it instantaneously when you need it. You won’t have to stop what you are doing, center yourself, meditate, or anything else that takes you away from what you are doing. You can use the Sage Stance while you’re going about your day. It can actually be applied while you are carrying on a conversation.

    What is Meditation?

Let’s discuss meditation a little bit. What it is and what it is not. And maybe we can dispel some of the myths surrounding it. We can find references to meditation in the practices of ancient wisdom from several cultures. The Merriam Webster Dictionary defines meditation as: engaging in contemplation or reflection. In one fashion or another, we all contemplate and reflect on our lives.

In our busy, technologically interconnected world, many people have been turning to meditation to relax and reduce stress. If you already meditate, that’s great! If you have not, or have found it to be difficult, or hard to stick to, then follow closely as we dispel some of the myths about meditation.

One common myth is that it takes a lot of time. There are some people who spend hours meditating but it doesn’t have to be that way. According to the ancient wisdom traditions, there are two central purposes for meditation. The first is to stop your chattering mind, your internal dialogue. The second is to get in touch with your real self, your Higher Self or what we’ll be referring to later as your Inner Sage when we talk about connecting to this power. For now, just keep in mind that your real self is expressed when you feel passion and all the joys of being a human. Imagine having more passion in life. Imagine being able to stop your racing mind. These are some of the reasons to meditate and it doesn’t have to take a lot of time to get there.

For those of you who have had trouble meditating, the Sage Stance is specifically designed to help you achieve the desired state of mind necessary for optimal performance without spending hours meditating. All we will be asking of you is to review the initial Sage Stance meditation and start using the technique. Then you can find the shorter audio version, or simply devote some time to the practice of sitting quietly for 21 days for reinforcement, and you
