Womanhood: The Gift That Keeps on Giving
()
About this ebook
Marvette Camille
Marvette Camille (MC), a Justice of the Peace and Social Worker, celebrates womanhood; completely cherishing what it means to be woman. She believes that being woman is one of the most important jobs there is, as it encompasses being the birth-way to, and the edifier of, infinite generations. This means being crucial to maintaining the populations of the world and nurturing bodies, souls and minds that will enhance what is best about the world that we all occupy. MC loves being woman, and therefore embraces all that it entails; being both soft and tough, while striving to use the strengths of womanhood to propel and fulfil her own goals and dreams, while also helping to advance the goals and dreams of others; especially that of womankind. For her, womanhood is the most important gift Mother Nature could have bestowed on her, and as such, welcomes its responsibilities, and treasures its rewards.

Dedication
In dedication to all the important women in my life, especially to my blood sisters, the ones still in the physical realm; Claudette Facey-Whtye, Marlo Facey-Young and Nicolette Facey, and to the two others who have gone on before us; a mere one year and five months after each other, Janet Facey-Gayle (Nurse) and Paulette Angela Marie Lewars-Smith (Angie). Also to my nieces Judith Houser, Shanna-Kay Britton Edwards, Marcella Whyte, Shanieke Farquharson, Janelle Whyte, and Shandece Young, and my grand-nieces Danielle Coote, Mallorie Edwars and Bianca Hammond. Especially to my mother, Joycelyn Myrna Hewitt-Facey, the person I love more than anyone else, and to my brother Tony, my favourite sibling, who also transitioned in 2015, the same year I lost my first sister; for making me a better sister because I loved you the way I did. Also to the sistahs of my heart; my dear friends Dawn Minott, Charlene Fagan, my ‘lil sis’ Kemmone Hall, and to my precious sistah-friend Ouida Ashley, who also left the physical realm in 2015 and to women everywhere, this is also for you. I hope you find something you can relate to, and that will make you continue feeling like it is worthwhile and a blessing to have been born woman.

Chapter 1 – Incomparably Woman
21082.pngI AM WOMAN
My heart precedes me; showing itself for all to see – right out there on my stark white sleeves, surrounded by neon lights and blaring whistles, as if its loud beating and banging against my chest wasn’t enough to reveal to the world my woman’s heart. I AM woman!
My legacy is more than what I do, it’s who I am, what is within me, it’s a part of me. I give, sometimes more than I have to give, leaving myself depleted, but I give of me anyway. I give as it was instilled in me, inbred in me, is innately me. I AM woman!
I manipulate, I am manipulated, I negotiate, and sometimes I am even the prize’ that is being negotiated for. The
salt of the earth," or more like the earth itself? Giving too much, getting too little back, taken for granted, yet still always there for everyone. I AM woman!
The essence of me is the blessings I attract, that are sometimes not as conspicuous as my charms, but are as real as the warmth of my arms – that envelope a man, cuddle a baby, and broadcast my heart’s need to feel. I Am woman!
My thoughts fluctuate from being wife, to being mom, sister, and aunt – all battling for all of me at the same time. I am divided, but whole, splintered, but intact, sometimes seemingly spinning out of control, but still able to
