()
About this ebook
This is a book that refers to certain events and issues and compare, relate with honesty the position of the author around such events and issues. It talks of how the author sees the system, areas of governance and how it is done and he goes deep inside of identifying some of those who are at the top and their questionable acts. Government departments fail and are protected to undermine ordinary people intelligence. br> br> This book raises certain issues by taking your mind into an ordinary South African who lives where he is directly affected by the failures of governance because of corruption and power struggle by leadership. The author goes to the level of going into how certain leaders failed the public on executing their duties. br> br> This is not the book that will interest those who follow politics only; it goes further by introducing different topics and how they are mishandled by leaders. For a moment it goes into the ANC leadership and ANC as a political party to see and analyze real issues within. The author presents the view of controversial Julius Malema, and surprisingly presents the side that the media never presented. br> br> The book refers to various topics like politics, the media, traditional communities-laws and practice, the gap between the rich and the poor, xenophobia and many more. The most amazing and interesting angle of traditional communities presented through what is happening in the Bakwena Ba Mogopa Traditional Community who are rich in natural resources. br> br> He observed the most and critical systems that are not benefiting the people, and raising them as a black man with real references since his observation registered whites critics only, and differently present other issues around Land Restitution Corruption/Failures and Government strategy of undermining the rural leadership/communities etc. br> br> SA has been presented as a media free society, where media has freedom to report on different issues and no other platform seems to be there to criticize the media unless if the media itself open a limited debate along its criticism, this book criticizes the media. br> br> Touching on Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE) and its effect, this time it brings a different angle! Be presented with different laws and simple interpretations and how leadership is failing to observe them. br> br> This is a book that everybody needs to have because it is simple and was written to present complex issues differently. You will see as you go by it that ordinary South Africans are being disrespected by leaders and all is not good in SA. br> br> The author has presented views and questions that needs to identify real challenges that SA faces. Why people are so afraid of criticizing the ANC, the media, government and many powerful factors that lead us? This is a book that will bring a good debate to fix some of the problems in SA.

CHAPTER 1
Introduction
"Commitment and determination is the key to achieve. Education is a weapon to be used to survive; talent should be paired with both commitment and determination and could be realized. Education, talent, commitment, luck and determination should guarantee success.
Born a South African in the years of apartheid is interesting but sad. In 1994, new and first Democratic government came to effect. Today 2010, our country is hosting one of the biggest sporting event ever, FIFA world cup tournament. I am sitting with amazing pieces of creative and innovative components realized by the most intelligent people of this world. I am grateful for our artists, leaders, politicians, educated, entertainers, philosophers and everybody who leaves me with amusement and laughter at some point.
I am a proud poor South African, unemployed and married with two beautiful kids, Tshiamo and Tshepang boy and girl
. I can’t ask God for more, but as arrogant and demanding as I am, I keep on bothering Him for more. The sad thing is that I don’t deserve anything from Him as I fail Him mostly.
Today was one of my interesting days ever, sitting on the board and attending an employment position scorecard rating for Dimapo Primary School as a judge. Interestingly my confidence came back. This started when I was honored with an invitation by the Principal to compile a list of questions that will address practical assessment for candidates.
In our meeting with the school representatives, among others Mr. Lesley Malao discussed what will be needed from applicants and human qualities for such a position.
The designed question paper was drafted, edited and finalized, thus the content was the simplest and straight forward to anyone who knows and understand computer, particularly Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Networking.
We interviewed six applicants, and our panel among others was represented by teachers union, principal, and other educators. Candidate’s educational background and experience was interesting. They were more than qualified, one may conclude. Apart from my questions, there were department’s standard questions that we were obliged to ask. These were questions that are expected in any work related interview, for instance tell us about yourself?
This challenge was my first step to realize my potential and put inaccurate criticism aside for a while. Remember, I am not perceived to be educated by most who knows me because I don’t necessarily hold any tertiary certificate. The question is whether I am, or not? How do I perceive myself?
Well, this is what happened to my life earlier after I completed my Grade twelve, standard ten as was called in my school years.
I went to for six months training in customer relations, sales and marketing to a company that was selling life insurance policies. I was training and earning a salary at the same time, I liked it.
After that I was working as a consultant under a mentor to another company that was doing the same. This brought and presented broader knowledge and experience around this industry and the corporate world in general. I was perceived to be the youngest consultant by then in the industry.
I started working and reporting directly to the company when another competing company appointed me two years later after offering me a position. I was one of the best consultants in the company, in my branch and region, and in my first months of my career.
After that I registered a company that dealt with graphics and printing, that’s where I self-studied computer set up and drive.
I have since become a critic of our traditional government; hence my strategy was to exhaust possible ways to be capacitated in government policies, laws and our country’s constitution. Growing up in my family comes with the sad realities in life; I cannot go to tertiary institution to pursue any educational course that I am interested in. Today I am proud to say I have been capacitated in Land Rights and Bill, Mining and the Charter, Legal Structures, Governance of Legal Entity and How to resolve conflict. These are only half of the key programmes that I am interested in, hence I have self-studied many more others.
Like at the beginning, we have quoted the well-known writer, you know without a certificate one would find it difficult to prove that he can do certain things, so talent require more hard work to prove that you have studied and understood, particularly where competition is within knowledge and the ability to perform in that category.
In South Africa there are beautiful programmes that we the underprivileged could use to capacitate ourselves, and for the well-known programme that builds young entrepreneurs, there is a kickstart programme by the South African Breweries (PTY) Ltd. This is the programme that short-listed my company to compete in this competition.
There I was capacitated in Entrepreneurship, Production, Market Research and Marketing, Human Resources, The Business Plan, Financial Management and Record Keeping.
The point to this is for you to understand where I am coming from as a person, not a writer. South Africa has interesting policies, laws and legislatures. This book will somehow reflects them, but most importantly my view on how they are implicated and the success behind them. I am bringing my interpretation and my understanding before you, I am thinking loud.
I have been involved in friendship and other relationships and my mind and how I do things comes mostly in the influence, the debates, the fights, and atmosphere around me.
Remember; Education does not guarantee success, but it is important tool in the appreciation of entrepreneurial issues.
We were talking the other time and a friend of mine presented a very clear picture that defined education for me. He said that most certificated people would want to argue how educated they are, with the powerful weapon they have—their certificates, most of them are unable to see when doors are open
