About this ebook
K.O. Reuben
Kingsley Olaleye (‘Olaleye’ meaning in Yoruba ‘graceful wealth’) Reuben was born in the great borough of Hackney, London, England in 1988. Kingsley took interest in writing whilst in primary school when he, for once actually did his English homework and wrote a poem. He wrote his first book at the spotty age of 13. It took him 9 months . . . who said men know nothing about carrying a baby? Kingsley fell in love with writing and obtained the nickname ‘The Bard’ before he dabbled in speech writing, debating, met deadlines for Journalistic news stories for student papers and locals and published some poetry. Kingsley went on to write several books and plays and soppy love poems for couples at school by popular demand. One of his plays ‘Being Human’, was staged in the studio theatre of the Hackney Empire. Kingsley has a younger brother and sister and two parents whose gene pool was the best thing that ever happened to him. Kingsley is currently in his third year of university studying Journalism and creative writing at Roehampton University.

Epilogue
I dedicate this to my father who continually guides me down the right way, my parents who taught me the real meaning of the words ‘marriage and ‘family’ and every teacher/lecturer and friend/writing partner whose passion has inspired me.
Prologue
It was probably the safest wedding in history. Everyone from the Hercules Bodyguard Emporium was there.
I, Andromeda Vigna, take you Alfred Thomas Hardy,
Andromeda had chosen Alfred, her father’s favourite and most esteemed employee to the Hercules Guard Emporium since its inception. She had fallen in love with him almost immediately he was assigned to watch over her and she scorned her former love interest Raymond Harper, a well renowned bioengineer with a taste for woman beating . . . karma took the vengeful shape of Alfred’s fists.
To have and to hold from this day forward,
There was a special bond between Alfred and Andromeda. The concept presented by Alfred’s body guarding pointed to the mortal peril he was always placing himself in for the sole protection of others—Andromeda didn’t want to lose him. Every hug was as if it would be her last.
To be my husband, for better or for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health
Alfred wasn’t a man who made many long term plans because of the nature of his job. He had at a time considered himself expendable but with a father in-law who was handing him the business of running the emporium and marrying his daughter, Alfred’s mind was rewired to think positively long term.
, to love and to cherish;
It was by far the happiest day of his life when Andromeda gave birth to their first baby. It was a boy, Alfred and Andromeda agreed quickly on the name Athens, the city they first met in. He would be a reminder of why they got married, he’d be the sum total of their love defined.
From this day forward
Alfred, after Andromeda’s plea to get some coffee for lack of sleeping, put his right hand man, Mr Bank’s in charge of protecting Andromeda. Raymond Harper, Andromeda’s ex-lover, was not a man who gave up easily and he was defeated in every possible aspect in comparison to Alfred, whom essentially was the almost perfect man. He was plagued with thoughts of jealousy and an insatiable thirst for revenge in any form he could obtain it.
Alfred walked into ‘The Coffee Beans’ coffee shop. Coming into these shops always felt like walking into a living room because of the several shades of brown, dimmed lights, the stylish sofas placed in such a way to make you want to sit on them and the amazing aroma of the freshest coffee. Andromeda loved coffee shops and before long Alfred found he loved them too. He guessed that was down to her presence rather than the atmosphere and place. Alfred was snapped out of his pleasant chain of thought by his need to risk assess the place once with a few glances. Paranoid but it had to be done; it was his job to take no risk even if he was just buying a coffee. It was on scanning the setting that he came across a far too familiar face—Banks.
Banks! What the heck are you doing her man! You’re meant to be at my wife’s side! If you weren’t up to it you should have let me know!
Alfred blared. He was furious. Any Tom, Dick and Harry could simply slip in to her room now that he was here. Back at the room, Doctor Shaw checked the room.
Mr Banks, a brief word please,
said the blonde haired doctor. Mr Bank’s nodded and followed. He closed the door behind him and followed Doctor Shaw down the corridor.
I have reason to believe that baby Athens has been moved for security reasons. I cannot confirm or deny anything, my sole duty is to protect—
, Mr Banks was cut off by an extinguisher being slammed upon him. Banks fell, sprawled upon the floor. Standing over him was an exact lookalike. An imposter. A smirk crept upon his face.
Well done Mr Bank’s,
Doctor Shaw said.
Thank you . . . I’m just doing my job,
he replied in nearly a flawless imitation of Bank’s own voice that they were inseparable to say the least. Back with Alfred and the imposter, things were also rather inseparable but in terms of strength.
The false Mr Bank’s had jabbed Alfred with a tranquiliser but Alfred was a bull of a man and it would take more than one to fell him. Alfred head butted Banks onto a round table ahead, broke a chair over
