About this ebook
I n Africa: The Glory, the Curse, the Remedy; the author Anthony Agbo in a spectacular and inspirational detail researched the bible and rare ancient authorities to establish that God through the mouths of His Prophets, pronounced broad and far reaching curses on Africa and Africans, the result of which put the continent and her people in the negative side of all indices of human fortune, growth and development.
Tracing the African family tree from the patriarch Noah through her phenomenal rise and greatness in ancient time, to her sudden downfall, the author in an amazing inspirational treatise, woven with extra-ordinary suspense unveiled: the character and activities of the enigmatic biblical figure, Nimrod, the great African and first world ruler, who built the Tower of Babel, openly confronted the God of Heaven and originated Idolatry, the worship of the gods of wood and stone thereby leading Africans astray; the identity and pioneering works of Tehuti, the great African who laid the foundation for all academic knowledge on earth, and who the ancient Greeks referred to as the master of all masters and the greatest of all greats; the journey of the biblical Ark of the covenant in the ancient time from Jerusalem to Ethiopia where it resides today; why and how God cursed Africa and how this curse has impacted on the lives and endeavors of the black race; what is it that can return Africa to future world dominion; etc.
This is a book of extraordinary revelations about Africa and God, her glory and curse-propelled downfall as well as remedial prescriptions.

AUTHOR’S NOTE
From my early school days, I have been a very curious person. This perhaps made me an avid and voracious reader, who unabatedly consumed all manner of literature, from science, philosophy, history, religion, literary works of fiction and non fiction, current affairs, mythology, mystery books etc. All these only resulted in widening the rabid curiosity of my restless mind.
But the greatest curiosity of my life had always been; why Africans are different from other races of mankind in all manner of human personality and engagement indices.
Some years ago however, a mind told me that for the fact that all creatures came from God, then if I seek to understand the background to the present positive or negative uniqueness of any given specie or race, I must look for it in the record or time capsule left by the creator. And this time capsule or record is the Holy Bible.
As I opened the bible for the answer to my lifelong question, my eyes were opened to the open – secret, but hitherto ignored facts of the black man’s predicament, as they are outlined on the pages of the Bible, supported by conventional history books and rare ancient authorities. That Africa was a mighty, monolithic and hegemonic global empire that ruled/dominated the world for 3,000 years during which it gave the world the foundations and templates for all the architecture, arts and sciences, technology, agriculture and human organization that are glorified today. God himself testified to this through the tongues of His prophets. Great European minds such as Herodotus, Isaac Newton, Johannes Kepler, Nicholas Copernicus, Michael Maier, Jean Francois Champollion and the famous Jewish chronicler, Flavius Josephus, and a host of others, all collaborated this fact.
But unfortunately and indeed tragically, God later cursed Africa and Africans, and the continent later became a base and lowliest of kingdoms
, so that, they shall no more rule over the nations
.
The book is a passionate but solemn scenic journey of interminable suspense. Happy read!
FOREWORD
The Book titled AFRICA, The Glory, The Curse, The Remedy
is a voluminous compendium of biblical perspectives, apparently borne out of a rigorous and deep research study of religion in the Continent of Africa by Senator Anthony O. Agbo. The author’s views on the foundation, predicament and retrogressive nature of Africa religious and custom rating from ancient Biblical times, to the present day and time is simply awesome and demand respect and commendation. Senator Anthony Agbo stressed the need to deal decisively with some of the negative foundation of Africa traditional beliefs and religion which is founded on idolatry and deep-seated transgressions.
Most imperatively, the Book proffers a way out of this quagmire in Africa. The author in an assiduous manner strongly recommends a deliberate and genuine renunciations, repentance and reconciliation with the true God, Who alone can destroy the symptoms and curses bedevilling the African Continent. As the author asserted in his book, Africa must position itself as the new moral sign post of the world as well as the new world headquarters for propagation of undiluted Christian values.
I am convinced beyond any reasonable doubt, that this book is a must read for every Christian leader in this generation as well as their congregations in Africa. I recommend it also for political and traditional leaders in Africa. The book is a preparatory tool for seeking God for the deliverance of Africa, so that the continent will take its rightful place in the comity of nations like in the ancient time.
May our dream, hope and aspirations for Africa come to fulfilment in our generation! May Africa be liberated from the shackles of spiritual and moral enslavement and curses and may it be propelled on to a viable and prosperous continent.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
My greatest acknowledgment and appreciation goes to General Dr. Yakubu Gowon (GCFR), former Head of State of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Such a great African with indescribable humble spirit, who with impeccable detail and unreservedness commits all his heart, all his person, and all his time and resources to the service of God and humanity. In between his extraordinary tight schedule, he made out space to foreword this book. This is an unforgettable gesture. May he be blessed in utmost abundance by the great God.
My Dear wife Agatha, my wonderful children: Ikedi, Onyedika, Chidiebere, Chiazo, Akachukwu, Ifunanya and Ekene Dili Chukwu, all created the soothing psychological atmosphere that made the best of me to manifest and flourish as will be seen in this book. I owe them the best of all I could ever afford. I commit them into the heart and hands of our great God.
My Cousin, Engr. Ikenna Ituma was of immense assistance in assessing and arranging the materials in this book. May he be blessed.
My wonderful brothers, Deacon Ferdinand Agbo Elder Simon Agbo and Engr. Moses Agbo and others, who always stands with me and with whom, I share pains and joys and above all the knowledge of God. I bless them all.
An intellectual sign post of our family, with whom I share the burden of the struggle to make impact in life and to bring up other people to the challenging arena of successful life, my beloved brother, Justice Obande Ogbuinya of the Federal Court of Appeal of the Federal Republic of Nigeria was a strong psychological and intellectual support, I bless him.
The humble typist who sat for hours without end on the computer to type and arrange the work, Miss Isah Hassana was a formidable factor in the success of the work.
My Personal Assistant, Mr. Joseph Nwazunku deserves a space in this page for his contributions.
All my wonderful friends, brothers, and sisters, relations and political allies, supporters and loyalists with whom we always sit together to discuss God, Africa and Nigeria have a great credit than they may know in the success of this work. I bless them all.
INTRODUCTION
This is a book on the biblical perspective of the African predicament. It came straight by combined forces of inspiration and revelation. It is therefore not for entertainment but for reflection.
The book provides biblical explanation as to why Africans are different from other races of mankind: why we are black; why we are poor (in the midst of plenty); why we were enslaved; why we are ravaged by diseases; why we are dominated and humiliated; why we have problem of leadership; why we are burdened by disunity, war and strife; why we lack imagination; why we are lazy; and indeed why we are a base
and lowliest
of nations. It is a book that should have been written several decades ago so as to provide crucial guidance to leaders, opinion molders and men of God, particularly of African extraction.
Indeed at the end of it, the author is attracted to an opinion that it is one of the greatest and most crucial books that has ever been written on Africa which shall be deeply valued by serious–minded, deep–thinking, patriotic, curious, objective, insightful and reflective minds. Particularly, every serious, religious–minded person; every priest, pastor or minister of God; every politician; every government; every family; every seeker of truth and most importantly every (African) student must read this book.
The central message or theory being propagated by the book is that in ancient time, God honoured Africa with extraordinary knowledge, wealth, wisdom and power; and they ruled the known world of the time. But they ruled on the platform of idolatary, witchcraft, sorcery, spiritism, divination, ancestral worship, esoteric magic, pride, apostacy and direct confrontation with God. And the anger of God was kindled against them, and God pronounced elaborate curses on them which brought their fall.
From the medieval period through the renaissance; the Caucasian, anglo Saxon race (Europe and America) and the Mongoloid race (Asia) through their fervent Christianity and Islamic monotheism respectively embraced God; and wisdom, knowledge and world domination fell into their hands.
Europe built cathedrals, translated the Bible, wrote immortal Christian hymns, propagated monastic life, sent out missionaries to Christianize the world; and romanticized the beauty and elegance of Christian valour, holiness and fervent pursuit of saintly honour. Their aristocracy and temporal sovereign subjected the symbols of their wealth and imperial crowns to the dominion of the cross and the hegemonic authority of the papacy. Their blessings came in torrents and today, they rule the world. Africa, enmeshed in idolatory became blinded, noted for base characteristics and hence fell into total irrelevance.
The (African) continent did not just fall into total irrelevance alone, but it descended to the ignoble and base level of being like a private property of Europe (and other nations) which they subdued, balkanized, subjugated and exploited through slavery, colonialism and neocolonialism. This situation perfectly fulfils the scriptures, which says:
Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession. Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a porter’s vessel.
Psalm 2 V 8 - 9
The book traces the African family tree from the patriarch Noah after the great flood, through the activities of ancient Africans in Babylon, (God’s most hated city), the rebellious philosophy behind the building of the Tower of Babel by the great African and first world ruler, Nimrod; to Egypt, the heartland and capital of ancient Africa where the pharaohs elevated themselves to the level of the gods and institutionalized idolatory and apostacy as state religion.
It highlighted the phenomenal and unprecedented greatness of Africa in ancient time in all spheres of human development and greatness indices.
Researching through deep and rare ancient authorities, the book gave elaborate treatment to the character and personality of the amazing ancient African and the all – time greatest world ruler, Nimrod, who fiercely rebelled against God, laid the foundation for world – wide idolatory and apostacy, and urged men to depart from the judgment of God and adhere to the judgment of Nimrod
, while assuring his people that he will exert a revenge on God for drowning his ancestors with water.
The book established that apart from the Jews who are God’s chosen people, no other nation featured in God’s scheme more than the Africans.
It traces the present location of the celebrated Ark of the Covenant (which God instructed Moses to build and through which God communicated with and protected the Isrealites) to Africa, in Ethiopia.
It raises the question of the mystery of the Black Madonna; why the image, statue or painting of the Blessed Virgin Mary and child Jesus done with African (black) features perform miracles far more than when such images are done with caucasoid, European features; and why is it that earlier than the renaissance period, medieval and ancient artists mostly depicted Mary and Child Jesus with olive or bronze skin, black hair and brown eyes characteristic of African features?
The book highlighted how the great African theologians laid the doctrinal and philosophical foundations of the church with such giants as, St. Augustine of Hippo, (the greatest of the latin fathers); Athanasius; St. Cyprian and Tertullian.
God (or nature’s) lavish endowment on Africa in terms of its enviable geography and wealth of natural resources were not left out.
Perhaps, the most critical part of this book should be chapter 5, which deals with the curse of Africa. This chapter elaborately discussed and analyzed the concept of curse in its biblical perspective and convincingly established that Africa is under severe curse. It discussed the symptoms of the curse and extracted the fundamental reasons or transgressions, based upon which God cursed Africa. Such transgressions were noted as: The curse of Ham (the ancestor of the Africans); The Sins of Babylon; The Slavery of the Jews; and Idolatory. Specific verses of the Bible where God pronounced curses on Africa were extracted and elaborately treated.
The final chapter, chapter 6 suggested remedies for the African situation arising from the curses.
I expect the book to be controversial, to be criticized, questioned and fiercely attacked, but, I make bold to hand out one firm promise: the reader shall find every page of the book very engaging, with passionate and delicious suspense, with its fascinating quotes from the scriptures and historical authorities and its rich and elegant language.
I must strictly advice that for one to fully capture the central message of this book, to savour the beauty and elegance of it, to appreciate the richness, solemnity, fascination and phenomenal severity of its depth and impact, one must read it in strict sequence, chapter to chapter, paragraph to paragraph, from beginning to the end at his or her quiet time only.
God bless Africa

Contemporary Africa
The Dreg of the Nations
Africa: the oldest and most stable land mass on earth; the second-largest continent, with 22 per cent of the earth’s land surface; anthropological progenitor of the human family; evolutionary cradle of the most glorious and countless plant and animal species; the land of captivating magic of enchanting deserts; enviable equatorial location, with enough sunlight, rainfall, food, and seasonal configurations reminiscent of the biblical Eden; It is populated by the children of biblical Ham, one of the three sons of Noah, after the Great Flood; the progenitor of Nimrod, the first world ruler (the mighty one on the earth
) who founded the city of Babel, dominated the land of Mesopotamia and founded Nineveh, the capital of the great Assyrian Empire; the progenitor of Melchizedek, the king of Salem, priest of righteousness, and the greatest priest after Christ
; the land of St Augustine of Hippo, the ancient Church’s most distinguished son
, the progenitor of Tehuti (or Thoth), the father of science, philosophy, and mathematics (whom the ancient Greeks referred to as the master of all masters
and the scribe of the gods
). It is the land of Imhotep, the ancient architect, scientist, and mathematician who designed the first pyramid (the step pyramid at Saqqara, Egypt) and
